Fantastic dog friendly hotel with plenty of green space to allow dog to do her business !! (Very important πŸ˜‚) Staff friendly and helpful, great check in experience and was allocated ground floor. Lovely breakfast selection which was buffet style, nothing to much trouble. Ideal location next door to a dog friendly pub/restaurant. Already booked my next stay.

This is a fairly typical express brand, the rooms are functional but a bit basic and dated however comfortable enough for the time spent in the room. Check in was efficient enough and details of breakfast and bar offerings explained. The room itself was ok but dated and I found it difficult to control the temperature which was either too hot or too cold and then on the last night the heating didn't work at all so it was freezing in the morning. There was a portable fan in the room for air circulation but no air conditioning. The bar area was fairly spacious and there was a choice of food available which was actually quite tasty. I didn't try the breakfast offering but a breakfast buffet is included in the rate. Staff were all very friendly and helpful at all times. The hotel is a little bit outside of the city centre and has plenty of parking, a walk into the town will take around 30 minutes by following the busy roads (there are light controlled crossing points at most junctions & roundabouts although one road you have to cross without and cars do come speeding around). There is a longer but far more scenic route into town from the back of the hotel and either up the path through the fields (with great views of the countryside) or through the university campus (better at night time). there is also a retail park behind the hotel with a choice of shops and places to eat and also a restaurant/pub just in front of the hotel. Overall a decent enough place to stay.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn express at Inverness, from the moment I arrived I new it was going to be another great stay. The staff here are so friendly and helpful, the food is good breakfast is amazing the room very comfortable the place is so clean and tidy, but as I said it is the staff here they make you feel welcome. During breakfast they are constantly cleaning the table and always there to help they really are a great team and it made my stay perfect. Sometimes we forget just how much work they do the hours they put in to make our time enjoyable. πŸ™‚ πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Definitely looking forward to staying there again.
