Amazing from the minute I walked in the front door up to the moment I left. Lovely welcome from a very bubbly staff member called Natalie. While checking us in she took the time to chat with us asking us how our journey was and what brought us to Inverness for the weekend and when we explained it was a last minute trip away with out the children she then went on to recommend things for us to see/do while in the city aswell as some lovely restaurants and lots of bars (sampled quite a few of them) and very glad she did because her suggestions were top notch. I have an accor membership however my partner made the reservation on booking.com and upon explaining this to Natalie she explained that in order to receive accor points the booking has to be done via the accor website however she honored the welcome drink and complimentary upgrade with my gold status and the room was absolutely amazing. Lovely spacious room on the 4th floor with a spectacular view of the river! Breakfast the next morning also lived up to par. Buffet style with plenty of choice if you don't feel like a fry up. Everything was kept well stocked up and the hot food was nice and fresh, especially the eggs that get fried there and then at the buffet area - can't get fresher than that. We have already made a reservation to return in the new year and can't wait to be back. …
This was my second stay with my husband at this hotel (19th Nov). We stayed in a prestige room on the first floor. The room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom had a massive shower with good water pressure. The air conditioning meant we could heat up or cool down to room to suit us. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant down stairs. Kien and Bobbi were very welcoming and helpful in the restaurant. Good selection of drinks in the bar. I've not had a midori and lemonade in ages. Chloe on the front desk was also very polite and friendly. Breakfast was buffet style and very nice. Yes, you can hear the revelers outside during the evening, but as the hotel is so central to all of these bars/restaurants and nightspots, it's not going to ruin my stay. Once the TV was on I couldn't hear anything outside. …
Booked with some trepidation following reading previous reviews, all I can think is they somewhere else. We had a fantastic privilege room with riverside view and hills in the distance. Massive comfortable bed and space to hold a party in. Staff very helpful at checking and throughout our stay and would book again in a heartbeat. Parking was plentiful and spacious at the back of the hotel. Thank you.
Myself & teenage daughter had a twin room for a show at Eden Court, 10 mins walk max. Great location & housekeeping lady was very kind to us by getting us toothbrushes & toothpaste in morning as we hadn't packed ours! Highly recommend Comfort Foods across from hotel, huge breakfast! 😋
I recently stayed at the mercure in Inverness with my partner to celebrate our anniversary. The location could not be more perfect for spending a night in the town enjoying dinner and a few of the many bars on offer. We received a warm welcome to the hotel by Natalie who helped us secure a dinner reservation that evening as well as offering us a complementary room upgrade for our special occasion. We were absolutely overwhelmed by the size of the room and the river view. Breakfast in the morning was such a treat and we were delighted to see such an array of options on the buffet. Everything was piping hot and fresh and we could see the staff were working hard to keep everything replenished regularly. We both throughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel which will definitely not be our last!…
Have stayed in this hotel a few times now and it is consistent with great staff. The hotel is in a good central location with direct access to Church Street with plenty of food and drink option. We spoke to Natalie, who checked us in, who recommended a great place for breakfast the following morning. Will definitely return as it’s a great place to stay.
We have stayed in the Mercure on many occasions and almost every time we have been checked in by Natalie. She is an excellent ambassador for the hotel, with her warm welcome and detailed knowledge of the surrounding area. Her manner is so welcoming that she IS the Mercure to us and our reasons for returning again and again. 5 stars Natalie :)
I recently stayed here with friends on a mini break to Inverness, and chose the hotel as reasonably priced and a central location. Staff were great, particularly Natalie on reception who gave us lots of information and ideas on where to visit, where to eat and go for drinks in town etc Rooms were nice and very clean. Breakfast had a good selection, and nice and hot. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.
Had a lovely stay at hotel, very clean and comfortable, lovely breakfast, friendly staff especially Natalie on reception, couldn't have been more helpful from start to finish made us feel so comfortable, thank you
Stayed here for the weekend. Had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the river with a beautiful view. Big spacious room spotlessly clean. Had breakfast which was lovely and good choices. Ideal location for shops and bars/restaurants. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Check in very smooth special shout out to Natalie in reception who made our stay just perfect. Will definitely return again
