Fabulous. We had a really nice one night stay. Our room was fabulous and very spacious. The food,,well make sure you eat here,,the chef is incredible.!!!Breakfast was delicious.would have loved to have stayed longer. The staff are a real credit to the hotel. really wonderful place to stay.If you like first class service in a stunning highland hotel then you really must stay here.!!
By far the best vacation stay my spouse or I have ever enjoyed. Wonderful food, beautiful accommodations, an incredible, history-rich manor, and, above all, a truly fantastic (and knowledgeable) staff.
We spent one night at this stunning hotel and it wasn’t enough! My only regret was missing Diana Gabaldon’s (Outlander author) visit a few days later. Out of 12 nights in Scotland this was the only hotel to take our suitcases to our room (don’t expect elevators). Much appreciated because it was three long flights up! We had a spacious third floor room with large bath. This historic house is beautifully decorated in a sophisticated style. There is more than one public space to enjoy a drink and conversation. As to the service, George and Kyle were at our beck and call. There when we retired for the evening and back again first thing in the morning. Meal service was equally attentive. Make sure you walk the grounds and ask for a key to visit the walled garden.
We recently stayed here for one night to attend a wedding near by. We received the warmest of welcome from the staff who made us feel at home right away and helped us organise taxis for our wedding, nothing was too much bother for them. We stayed in the Garden Mansion house which was beautiful, and the room was spotless. Breakfast was exceptionally good and again staff helped with any extra requests. We took a walk around the grounds and its clear that the hotel and grounds are maintained to the highest standard. We already look forward to our next stay here and cant recommend it enough to others!
This is probably the nicest hotel in Inverness with a lot of old world charm. One of the best surprises was a locked garden with apple trees, definitely a must see. Particularly charming to hear the bag piper each evening at dinner time. We expected to be in the main part of the house, but our room was on a side wing on the top floor. This small room could use some updating including new carpeting and editing of furniture to make it feel more spacious. Breakfast was included and excellent. The morning we left early to catch our flight, they delivered a breakfast tray at 4am to our room.
We stayed here for 3 nights while we were visiting Inverness. Gorgeous property rich with history. The staff was amazing as well was breakfast every morning and drinks in the bar in the evening. Plenty of parking and so close to city center plus all the other attractions. Would definitely stay again. Make sure you take time to walk through the gardens.
We stayed six nights at Culloden House while visiting various sites in the Highlands. The property is well maintained inside and out and the staff is professional and pleasant. Food for both breakfast and dinner was superb as was the service. We were in a suite in the Garden House which is a building separate from the main structure near the walled garden. The suite was spacious with a lovely bath and very quiet. The one concern is that it is a distance to walk back and forth to the main building which is unpleasant in inclement weather. They do not provide any type of transport such as a golf cart and unlike the rooms in the main building, they do not provide room service even for breakfast. As a luxury property, it seems that some arrangements could be arranged to better service guests in the Garden house. Would not recommend Garden House as a choice for physically challenged or elderly. We would opt to stay in the main building on a return visit.…
This small hotel set in the perfect countryside setting was a wonderful stay. The staff worked hard to be sure we had what we needed. The breakfast was served was lovely. There are no elevators. The interior of the house had been reconfigured with several staircases to reach our third floor suite. The room was spacious and filled with natural light and views of the front lawns. The bathroom was oversized. Again with lots of light. The staircases made getting up to our room hard. It was also maze like. Not our cup of tea,
Both rooms exceeded our expectations & the decor was absolutely beautiful! Lots of space, with comfortable beds! The restaurant within was wonderful & accommodating. My only regret was not being able to extend my stay longer. Beautifully done!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
This 40-acre estate houses a splendid manor house bed and breakfast. We had a “princess suite” which was very large and beautifully appointed (antiques, chandelier, very comfortable beds, etc, and a big, modern bathroom) with views across the magnificent front lawn. The public spaces and rooms are all lovely…but what makes this property extra special is the staff. They’re warm, fun, exceedingly polite and they bent over backwards to accommodate every need. Don’t miss the beautiful private garden. FANTASTIC stay.
