Had a very brief overnight stay here on our way further north. Arrived late and although there were four of us who were thirsty after one drink the bar was closed and we were directed down the road to another bar. The Crown Court was rather dark and the decor decidedly tired but good enough for the price. There are...

When we booked this hotel we were looking for a reasonable price without being too far from the city centre, ...and thats exactly what we got. Hotel is just a 5 minute walk from the city centre but is set in a quiet local area. Room turned out larger than expected and nicely furnished with a view out front of...

The hotel was pet friendly and although there was an additional charge for the dog, the fact that the pets are allowed is a great plus point for the hotel. The room was quite spacious and well priced, though the bathroom could do with some TLC. The evening meal was excellent, and would recommend this as a place to eat...

We have just stayed the weekend in room 11. There is a humming noise coming from either a generator or the kitchen maybe, that can be heard but I found it quite therapeutic. The Room was ok, bed was lovely and comfy. Bathroom looked new and the shower was amazingly powerful. I would definitely recommend the food in the restaurant for...

I really didn't expect to love my food as much as i did. I had never heard of this restaurant and it is part of a hotel.....so the restaurant was really an afterthought. However, when i arrived i was starving, so i ordered the mussels in white wine sauce and the mushroom soup. The white wine sauce was the best...

Great hotel - the staff are so lovely - the rooms are well decorated and full of wee extras - the toiletries are fab. Breakfast was a treat - all the usual but Stornoway Black Pudding was a bonus. Also the coffee served at breakfast was so nice- meant to ask what it was - I'll have to visit again.

Don't do it to yourself. We booked for a night online and she we turned up they didn't have our booking...the girl said we are full but we do have one room left....room 12....I could tell by the tone of her voice she was apprehensive offering it to us, she said have a look first. We looked and the room...

Leaving tomorrow after a second stay at this Hotel. Breakfast - better than any Spa Hotel we have stayed in. Two amazing rump steak dinners plus a fab bottle of Merlot £24 on Steak Saturday! Tonight Stevie, the Chef gave us a carvery of a plate of beef, lamb and turkey plus all the trimmings because we couldn't decide which...

After having an awful lunch at The Moorings in Fort Augustus (see my review) we were recommended by the owner of the B & B we were staying at to eat here. You can either eat in the bar area or in separate dining/bistro room which we did. Originally there were only the four of us there, which suited us...
