Needing a place to stay for a couple of nights whilst finishing off my holiday, I had a look online and stumbled across this. I opted for a six bed bunkroom. Not my favourite, but still okay. What I was pleasantly surprised about were the quirky details at the hostel. The colours, the furniture etc. It had character and there...

Lounge area was very warm and cozy small hostel common areas may be crowded if a lot of ppl. had a lot of info for things to do in the area. Breakfast was £2. Staff were friendly. Giving a poor rating due to bathroom and toilet facilities.

Hi there, thank you so much for taking the time to review your recent stay with us at the Inverness Student Hotel! We're happy you enjoyed your stay for the most part. We can only apologise: our toilets and showers can get rather crowded during busy periods, and even though we ensure that they are kept as clean as possible,...

One of the best hostels I've ever been!! Very cheap. Cosy and nice. The staff is absolutely great. They really care about you. You will have tea, coffee and hot chocolate for free everyday! I really enjoyed. The even take care of my laundry full of mood and get it ready in the next morning! Really nice!! Oh

Locked down due to weather in the Student Hotel. Comfy lounge, lovely wood-burner. Friendly staff. Guest from all corners of the globe - India, China, Australia, New Zealand, Germany, (me) Zimbabwe, Staff from Spain. Beds comfortable, I slept well. Showers and toilets clean and usable. Kitchen clean and well equipped. Everything a hardy traveller needs. We left a day early...

Hostel was nothing special, but was exactly what we were looking for. Great location, friendly staff, and cheap breakfast included. A little bit dated, and one morning one of the toilets on our floor was not working.

The hostel is very cozy and inviting looking and the staff all seemed very friendly and helpful. There is a laundry service which is great for longer term travellers such as ourselves. The location is great. It's walking distance to everything in town really and easy day driving/coach distance to Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Glen Affric, etc. The beds/pillows weren't...

Nice cozy lounge. Free parking space and proximity to city center are a big plus. They also arrange some backpacking trips in Highlands. The only problem is with the toilets. They are almost and always occupied.

Things didn't start well when water started dripping out of the light fittings at reception. Someone had flooded the shower upstairs and it was messing with the electrics as a result. A number of extension leads were set up, clearly keeping the power on while water was running from the ceiling was a good idea... A key deposit was required,...

We stayed for one night at the hostel. The beds were clean, the mattresses were literally a layer of foam. The showers are not very clean, you can see all the hair still. James the receptionist was very helpful, he told us where to go and what better to avoid. The service was good. The problem of a hostel is...

The hostel was ok, pretty standard really, nothing spectacular but nothing spectacularly bad either. Kitchen was small but had all the facilities you needed. Best thing was the free coffee, hot chocolate and tea. Stayed in a 6 bed mixed dorm and the beds were hard but duvet and sheets nice. Only 2 showers and 3 toilets (both mixed), cramped...
