I can't criticise the friendly staff and the decor was pleasing and respectful of the architecture. Some extra, easy-to-include, details would, however, have improved the room: somewhere to hang wet coats, other than inside the wardrobe ... somewhere to put wash bags, other than

Stayed at this hotel with a group of friends in November. The entry is lovely and the main stairs looks great. Once you get up stairs, the hotel is a bit run down and in need for a renovation! The bed was comfortable, however the fan in the bathroom was extremely loud and

We stayed here for two nights in March, a Christmas gift from our son. We paid £20 extra per night for a room with a river view and am so glad we did. Our room was directly opposite the castle, had three windows and the view of the castle over the Ness was spectacular.

Loved our 2 nights stay at this hotel which was located at the banks of river ness. Our stay was very comfortable with easy access to all nearby areas with restaurants and shop. Wish could have extended our stay here.

The Columba is advertised as 4* but how, we could not fathom. The carpets are threadbare, the paint peeling, the wooden windows rotting and I’ll fitting & there are no luxury facilities. We booked an executive double but the view from the window was scaffolding & grass filled

Are there lifts/Elevators to the rooms from the Ground floor?
For one of the floors the lift kind of stops between floors and then there are doors and stairs. Best to ask for an accessible room if stairs will be a problem.

I will be driving to the hotel on Sunday and was wondering whether there is a car park on site.
No car park on site but a couple of minutes walk to car park at the Cathedral

Good Afternoon, in response to your question, we do try to allocate rooms where guests that are booked as a group are as close as possible to each other. As there are a mixture of room types in the Hotel it is not always possible to do this. However I have made a note of your comments and passed these on to our Reception Manager who will try and accommodate where possible.
