The guest house is right in the centre of Inverness with excellent views over the river. We felt that it was friendly and welcoming. We appreciated the DVD library. The rooms were comfortable, albeit a little on the small side. We felt more attention was needed in the cleaning as it was dusty under the bed and on the TV... More

We only stayed 1 night here but we enjoyed our stay. The hosts were very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We arrived quite late and there was a road block leading to otherwise very easy to find road to their place. They actually talked us through the way on the phone. Like I said, it was actually very... We stopped here for the first time in Jan 2010 when we traveling from Orkney to Peterborough, we got stuck in Inverness because of the snow and found this little place to stay. Its perfectly located, very close to the shops and eateries (5 minute walk or so) but also not right in the centre so it is lovely and... More

We stayed a night before returning to York following a cycling holiday in the Outer Hebrides. Our room was one of the ones sharing a bathroom, but as there is also a separate toilet and there are washbasins in each room, we were practically unaware of our neighbours in the adjoining room. These two rooms have particularly fine views of... More

Basic and nice. Perfect for us for one night. Can't beat the location. The room overlooked the river and there was plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Breakfast made to order and was very good. Convivial atmosphere during breakfast. Simple and good.

Stayed at the Ness Bank for one night as a stopover on the long journey up Scotland with a friend, on the way to Orkney. We had the two rooms which share a bathroom for single occupancy. Received a warm welcome from David and suggestions for where we might like to go for food that evening. Rooms lovely and comfortable... More

We stayed in a double room for two nights with a lovely view of the river. We received a very warm welcome from David & were shown to our spotlessly clean & comfortable room. Considering this b&b's location (very central but wonderfully quiet!) it is fantastic value for money. The breakfast was faultless too & such a lovely dining room.... More

Couldn't have asked for a better location: such a beautiful view of the river. Dave, the host, is also fantastic, really going out of his way to be helpful and welcoming: a lovely bloke. His breakfasts were utterly delicious - among the best we've had anywhere: hot and tasty, with home-made jam on table. Our room had a super view... More

We received a warm welcome at Ness bank, parked easily right outside, lovely clean and homely room overlooking the river, very pretty. We were given great suggestions of where to go for food and drink. Fantastic breakfast, would highly recommend.

I had the pleasure to stay at the Ness Bank Guest House for three nights in Sept 2012 for the Loch Ness Marathon. I could not have been happier with the accommodation - by every metric this was a wonderful place to stay. Convenient location, scenic view, good price, excellent breakfast, and very friendly and accommodating hosts. I've stayed in... More
