Beach Cottage is an idyllic bed and breakfast located on the shores of the Moray Firth only 6 miles from Inverness City Centre. The B&B has a quiet, semi rural location and offers accommodation with stunning sea views. The 200 plus year old cottage has been extended and refurbished to a high standard with two en suite rooms, the Moray and the Beauly. Moray is in the new part of the cottage and has french doors with a Juliet balcony and offers panoramic views of the Moray Firth from Inverness to the South West around to Fort George and Chanonry Point to the North East. Beauly is in the old part of the cottage and offers similar views but they can be seen from the comfort of seats in the bay window. Please note that Beauly has old wood beams and the shower in the en suite has a low ceiling not really suitable for anyone taller than 1.8M. Dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea otters can frequently be spotted from the cottage as well as a huge variety of different species of birds. An idyllic and peaceful location with beautiful scenery. Due to the semi rural location it is necessary to have a vehicle.

Stayed at Beach Cottage, Sandend, sea View Road, Banff, Scotland for one week. The cottage was highly recommended by a friend who uses it regularly. Lovely cottage with everything that you need. Really well organised with clear extra precautions taken regarding prevention of risk of Coronavirus. The cottage is lovely and clean and so well equipped. Love it. Views over the beach are absolutely stunning. We watched the surfers every day, walked on the beach and scoured the rock pools when the tide had gone out. Ideal for walks in the cliff tops, etc. We also used our car to go further afield as it’s a good base. Communication with the owner was excellent. She answered any questions and regularly provided all info about the property, COVID-19 prevention/measures and also about local amenities. So helpful. Can’t recommend it enough. We will definitely be going back there.

We stayed in Beach Cottage for 3 nights last week. On arrival it was obvious that Janey was doing everything possible to keep everyone safe. We stayed in the Moray and were delighted to find there was a bath as part of the en-suite as well as the shower. Room was spotless with a most comfortable bed. As both bedrooms are upstairs, they both have panoramic views. They also both have a small fridge. Breakfast can be large or small, you choose. Janey could not have been friendlier or more helpful. 10 minutes drive to Inverness allowed us to enjoy both the Mustard Seed and The Kitchen. (Sister restaurants. Both on the river, and both excellent. From Inverness you can tour in any direction. We drove part of the Moray coast and then took a drive to Ullapool via Strathpeffer. Black Isle on the way back. Golf,The Whisky Trail and The Strathspey Steam Railway are all accessible. Thanks Janey and Monty the dog.

Stayed 3 nights recently. Such a beautiful place and we were treated so well by the owner Janey. Room was immaculate with a juliet balcony looking out onto the moray firth. If you come to Inverness you must stay here, nothing was too much trouble and breakfast was amazing.

My in-laws, husband and I had a lovely stay at Beach Cottage B&B at the beginning of October. The rooms have lovely views, are well decorated, comfortable and incredibly clean. The location outside of Inverness was also very convenient. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice and generous portions. All of these things make Beach Cottage B&B a great choice. However what really makes it a stand out experience is the warm welcome by Janey and her adorable dog Monty. Janey really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and provided a few special details that made our visit one we will always think of fondly. Thank you so much!

I found Beach Cottage on Google Earth. I liked the location so I read the reviews. They were all positive so I booked in January for four nights in September It is good thing I did too, this is a popular location and there are just two rooms. We followed the Tom-Tom directions east of Inverness on the A96, turned left at the sign for Alturlie. The road took us toward the Moray Firth, over some railroad tracks and a right turn onto a nice road along the shore. Upon arriving at Beach Cottage, we were warmly welcomed by our hostess, Jane and her dog Basil. The parking was good, though a bit of a challenge. But with Jane's help I figured it out so it ceased to be an issue. She showed us to our room... Beautiful with a wonderful view of Moray Firth. The room was bright with a very comfortable bed, nice ensuite, and a small fridge (a nice touch). The breakfasts were excellent with a good variety and choice. She has a small garden facing the Firth and a small patio with a table and chairs. It was a nice, quiet place to just sit and relax and read, watch the seabirds and sail boats, and watch sun go down over the Black Isle across the Firth. When the tide is out, it is easy to walk out on the tidal flats and collect sea shells and take in the sea air. We were just minutes away by car to Culloden Battle Field and Clava Cairns (for Outlander fans). Were also minutes away from some good Inverness pubs. we chose the Snow Goose. (Ask Jane for directions We fully enjoyed our stay and recommend it. Beach Cottage offers good value and a wonderful experience.
