We booked last minute online and phoned to request a travel cot, staff were accommodating. The room was clean and we got a good price. Would have been 5 rating however travel cot was extremely hard. Would bring my own next time.
Noisy building work starts at 8:30am. I'm sure the hotel is not busy at the end of January and the staff know about the work going on. Yet we are placed in the room that has the work happening right outside the window. Looks like there's some way to go before they're finished!
At the price we paid, would definitely stay again. For what we needed it for, close to the hospital, perfect. A wee bit away from town centre tho. Rooms, corridors exceptionally clean. Staff so very helpful. Only negative comment is regarding the TV's reception. It was pretty poor.
Super happy with this stop. Everything you would expect from a regular travelodge room, nothing fancy but you don’t expect it to be. That said, this was the only hotel on our trip who had cleaned the underside of soap dispensers, which had been disgusting in the 3 other travelodges. But most impressed by the addition of usb charging sockets next to bed. It’s such a simple addition as the power is already there for light switches, but it makes a massive difference to the practical usability of the room.
Having spent many enjoyable and peaceful stays in this hotel we had an awful experience on our recent visit. Having settled down for the night on Monday 17th January our sleep was interrupted by a rowdy, drunken group of over 8 residents who decided to have a party in the car park outside the main reception area and directly outside our room on the first floor. We were on the point of calling the police when this continued to 2am and it was clear that the night porter was unwilling to challenge or disperse the raucous group. Indeed, my wife was extremely reluctant for me to intervene given the potential repercussions. Having eventually fallen asleep we were rudely awakened at 7.30am by the rumblings caused by the laundry trolleys being loaded to a lorry which was repeated the following morning. These events led to a very disappointing and unnecessary interuption to our short break to Inverness and, hopefully, won't be repeated in the future.…
