My husband and I stayed at Melness Guest House for two nights and enjoyed it very much -- we thought it was the most comfortable and friendly of all the B&Bs we experienced on our trip to Scotland. Great breakfasts with very generous portions and the hostess, Joy, is extremely kind and helpful with sightseeing plans. Lots of little extras...

We stayed one night in Inverness after a long day of sight-seeing. The Mellness B&B was a welcome oasis. Our room was large, bright, clean, comfortable, and inviting. The bed was perfect. Tea and biscuits were provided in the room. Also, Wi-Fi and off-street parking were available. We were just a moment's walk from many restaurants and shopping. Joy, the...

We stayed at Melness Guest house for one night during our 6 day drive around Scotland. We did call ahead in mid day and make the reservation. The owner was Joy and indeed she was. Joy only has 2 bedrooms and ours was quite spacious with a large bed and a very nice ensuite bath. There was even an extra...

I stayed in Melness for a couple of nights in mid-April and enjoyed my stay! I got a warm welcome already calling about the reservation from Edinburgh and it felt like meeting an old friend when I arrived. The room was cosy and the bed made sure that the sleep was good and refreshing. I am a solo traveller with...

If your looking for a guest house very close to the centre of Inverness, then this is it. We stayed in her twin room and it was so clean and comfy. Joy the landlady is very kind and hospitable, we even went out for drinks. I would highly recommend this place for a short or long term visit. Beth and...

We found the accomodation and most aspects of our stay at Melness OK - it just seemed all a little less welcoming and much more "formal" and precscriptive than other B&B's we stayed in on our trip

From the minute we walked through the door at melness we felt it was a home from home. Joy welcomed us and made us feel relaxed in her home from the outset. What can we say about the breakfast! Simply wondeful with her own special touches, it sets you up perfectly for a day touring the beautiful highlands. This is...

When thinking back on my trip to Scotland in May, I keep remembering the wonderful stay my fiancee and I enjoyed at this wonderful B&B. Lovely home, lovely hostess, and a wonderful breakfast. Who knew that porridge could taste so good? You'll see what I mean! Enjoy!
