Contrary to the previous reviews. I found this hotel extremely pleasant and very well appointed for the competitive price. The check-in was very courteous and effortless. The secure car park at the front of the hotel was a very welcome feature as my car security is important to me. The room (No7) was very clean with nice bedding and decor. Quality soaps and towels in the bathroom and complimentary Highland spring waters were a nice addition. Only negatives were very low ceiling, which is documented on their website, but I'm not so tall so wasn't an issue for me and the floorboards could be doing with a bit of maintenance as a bit squeaky. Breakfast in the morning was very well cooked and set me up for the day. Would definitely return. Actually, I tried to rebook for Sunday the 5th, but they are closed for a well-deserved staff night out, but will call again on my next passing. Thank you all for a very pleasant stay. Brian …
Waited 20mins to get booked in room was small went down for my meal at 5:30 £40 bottle of wine arrived at the table open and full of floating bits and the temp of a cup of coffee. Ordered a steak at £29 the plate arrived swirling in blood ate a couple of chips left the rest the one waitress came to collect the plate all I got was a shrug of the shoulders when I complained. Went upstairs and decided to check the bedding brown stained pillows and bed had a stale smell so slept in a chair went down first thing in the morning to complain got a shrug again was supposed to be there another night decided to check out instead and go to different hotel still charged full rate for all nights and £70 for the meal do yourself a favour stay well well clear of this place
A complete rip off with zero service and zero interest for the customer. Many features endanger the health and safety of the customers. Never, ever again! I would give it zero stars if possible. This place is a disaster and a disgrace, apart from putting its customers in danger. The Scottish Public Services Ombudsman (SPSO) should be closing it down, as it is also endangering customers. They rip you off, the service however is just zero! 1. Musik is super loud waaay past midnight. The people in the bar were the employees and their friends, no paying customers like us! I politely asked them to turn the music down because I wanted to sleep. They said they will, however, nothing happened. So half an hour later I had to call 101, the police. They helped, finally the music got turned off. 2. There is no emergency number and nobody is onsite during the night. My husband locked himself out of the room and spent the night in front of the door. There was no help, no interest, just nothing. This is a major health and safety breach that must be addressed! 3. Phone did not work in the room. This is a hazard - if anything happens you can't contact them from the room. 4. Safe did not work. It locked, but it did not unlock. We had to get a mechanic that came in twice before he was able to open it. 5. We were here for 2 nights with ice on the ground in the carpark in front of this place. They told us it is slippery, but nobody bothered sprinkling salt or anything on the ground to make the carpark safe and walkable. They just assumed nobody will get hurt, knowing how dangerous a thick ice sheet is. This is just incredible! They are knowingly putting their customers' health at risk. 6. The room overall has many faults: windows very poorly isolated (you will be heating the outside area at high cost during the cost of living crisis), the tap splashes like mad, the sink does not flow properly, the toileteries are horrible, etc. However, all these faults are nothing compared to the rest. To summarise: a complete rip off with zero service and zero interest for the customer. Many features endanger the health and safety of the customers. Never, ever again!…
Would give this hotel 10/10 from the bedroom to the bar to the staff. Can’t fault anything. Would highly recommend this hotel. Food was also top class and staff could not be anymore pleasant. had a great night sleep in such a comfy bed
IDK, nothing really wrong with the place, but the room was quite small though adequately equipped with outlets etc. Overall just seemed a bit sluggish somehow. Location is good- short walk to the town center. Breakfast just average.
Beautiful lunch & cocktails here at the weekend. It was a great atmosphere. We had late lunch , the portion sizes were perfect. Aimie serving us was so attentive & helpful when choosing our food! Will definitely be back.
We stayed in room 3; four poster king bed. Very spacious room. Bathroom is a good size. Location is good; 10 min walk to pubs, restaurants and the river walk. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Wifi was spotty & not always functioning; the smart TV is not connected to the internet which was disappointing. Parking included in attached lot. Windows open in the room which was very appreciated; table fan also in the room which was a great surprise.
Our first stop in Scotland and we stayed 3 nights. Place is nice, modern upscale. Restaurant food is excellent as well as limited cocktails and liquor, beer, wine options. We arrived early off the sleeper and they stowed our luggage until check in, as well as few hours after checkout while waited for the next leg of our journey. Unfortunately we didn't feel real comfortable here. Wasn't a highland welcome we expected. In fact we were treated oddly as Americans, often quite stiffly. Only a couple staff were friendly. Even had a bar loiterer scowl us - not sure why he was there; probably waiting for a staff member to get off work. Did we talk funny? Did we look funny? We're very polite and please/thank you everything. We thought maybe this was how Scotland people were. Rest assured not so, when we went across the street to the "Corry" it was a 180. Super friendly, food on par, and the locals were fantastic. This place best for white collar professionals I think. Since our money is just as green and spends the same, we'll spend it at the Corry next time. I have an MBA. People shouldn't be judged by their appearance.…
Stayed here for 2 nights after having completed the Great Glen Way (and for my husband's 40th). Comfortable decent sized room on the 2nd floor so nice and quiet. Had ordered a bottle of prosecco to be in our room on arrival however it wasn't which was a bit disappointing as it was supposed to be a surprise for my husband. Quick run back down to reception to ask for it and it was brought up straight away with an apology. Good options at breakfast too, really liked the granola and my husband enjoyed the mushrooms and eggs. Overall, a decent end to our trip.
The food on the menu is diverse enough for everyone and it taste's great. The staff is fantastic and really friendly. The restaurant/bar has a great atmosphere and feels like home. The room is cosy and clean. This hotel is really to be recommended for a stay in Inverness.
