Inverglen is a Victorian stone villa built in 1894 with many traditional features as well as modern comforts. Our B&B is situated in the quiet residential Crown area, which is only five minutes walk to the centre of Inverness. Therefore, the range of shops, restaurants & pubs are easily visited, while leaving your car in our private car park. The Inverness Railway Station and Inverness Bus Station are also only 5 to 10 minutes walk away or, if your cases are heavy, a very short and inexpensive taxi ride. Inverness Airport is only 15 minutes away by car.

Clean and warm. This was really a wonderful place to stay. Our hosts were accommodating. We got into town four hours early and were allowed to unload our luggage and go explore. That was nice! I cannot say more to the hospitality that was offered during our one night stay. My husband is not too comfortable with bed and breakfast accommodations. He does not like the idea of being in someone's home. But I must say that Inverglen offers the best of both worlds. The warm and inviting B&B and that feeling of privacy a hotel provides. Not sure how they do it, but they do. Wonderful stay...and great breakfast! Highly recommended!

We were traveling in the British Isles and had booked two night's stay at Inverglen. Unfortunately, I fell ill and we had to cancel all of our plans and fly home. The hosts at Inverglen were very understanding and canceled our reservation without penalty. We will definitely plan to stay at Inverglen when we return to Scotland one day!

First of all, the hosts were nice, the room was tidy and comfortable. Sadly, we got the impression that this B&B was run quite economically. We missed the personal touch we experienced in the other places we stayed. We didn’t see any of the pastries shown in the photos here. Also, for breakfast there was no homemade bread. The products offered were rather cheap quality (yogurts, jams, pain au chocolate, …). Also, we found it a pity that the garden was covered with gravel and also in the house we almost only found plastic flowers. Sadly, we wouldn’t recommend staying here.

We spent an overnight here after a trip to the the theatre. We could not recommend this place highly enough .our room was immaculate and we had a shower to die for . Breakfast was a treat and ample enough to set us up for the day . Thank you to our lovely hosts, we will definitely be back .

We stayed at the beginning and end of our journey. Rooms are very clean and there's everything you need for a good night's sleep. Well situated for a walk into Inverness ( about 5 min walk or less) which has some lovely pubs and good food. Joan and Javed are very friendly and accommodating...breakfast was plentiful and beautifully cooked. Would definitely recommend a stay.

We stayed at Inverglen Guest House for five nights in a twin room which was well-appointed and larger than the many twin rooms we’ve occupied on past travels to Scotland. Breakfast was generous and the tasty full Scottish made-to-order. Service was excellent: Joan and Javed paid attention to the smallest detail and, for me, were especially accommodating, providing ice for my (previously) injured knee morning and night! The parking at the back of the building was a godsend at the end of the day. Inverglen is close to the center of town, and we would recommend it highly for your stay in Inverness.

Beautiful guesthouse, very clean, in a great location, 8 min walking distance from the caffès, Restaurants and city centar. We had freshly made breakfast every morning. The hosts were the most amazing and so helpfull with all the information about the area and what to visit. We will be back.

I think this might be the first "Under New Management" review of Inverglen. Joan and Javed are the new proprietors, and they have taken great care to maintain the standards that were set by the previous incumbents (if previous reviews are anything to go by). We had a two night stay in a superior room which was warm and very comfortable, lovely linen and towels and a king-size bed. The guest house was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was superb with a good choice of cereals and yoghurts etc. The "full Scottish" was excellent. Joan and Javed were very attentive and informative hosts - they are clearly working on putting their personal stamp on Inverglen. Something to bear in mind however - although only a few minutes walk from the station and the centre of Inverness, the road up from the town to Inverglen is quite steep. If you have some mobility difficulties I'd suggest a taxi from the station.

Room Tip: We arrived by train but I'm told there is ample off street parking behind Inverglen

I had a relaxing and comfortable stay at Inverglen Guest house. They have private parking behind the bnb which is very useful and safe, it’s a short walk into the centre of Inverness (also through safe streets) and the breakfast was lovely! The pressure in the shower was also fantastic and the room was warm with a very comfy bed. I’ll definitely visit again if I’m back in Inverness!

John and Susan were very welcoming and were most helpful with sightseeing tips and suggestions. The whole experience, both room and breakfast, was top-notch. The location is perfect, as it's a short walk into the centre of Inverness. All in all, a most enjoyable stay.

Response from Susan White, Owner at Inverglen Guest House
Responded 17 Aug 2020
Hi there Thanks so much for choosing Inverglen for your recent stay in Inverness. We appreciate that travelling at the moment can still cause some anxiety due to the changes because of Coronavirus, but our scenery and wide open spaces are still beautiful and with fewer tourists than usual still quite empty! We have had to make some changes to our house and hospitality services since the pandemic, but we are delighted that you still enjoyed your stay with us so much, and hope you had a safe journey home via Dundee. Kind regards, Susan & John
