Hotel is set out to treat guests purely as a cash machine and not welcome them as important guests. Some front of desk staff couldn't even be bothered to wish you a good morning. Rooms are smaller than Premier Inn and if you are unfortunate to have a front room then you are on a noisy busy main road. There is no lounge area to sit and socialise at the end of your day, so you either go outside or sit in your room. We didn't eat in the restaurant as there are much better and cheaper places in Town which is a 10min walk straight down the main road. Cinema cafe is outstanding for food and drink and is very very reasonably priced. If I was to visit Fort William again it would definitely be a local B & B for comfort and welcoming attitude compared to this Hotel.

Room Tip: Train trip to Mallaig is breathtaking so don't miss it. Plenty of bars and places to eat in Town.

Four of us stayed here, in 2 de-luxe twin rooms. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms were clean and spacious, with all amenities and excellent bathrooms. The beds were super-comfortable. There is no lift, and getting to the rooms involved quite a few stairs, but that was the only downside. Breakfast in Brown's Restaurant was excellent.

Had a lot lovely 2night relaxing stay. Two double beds in comfortable and clean room. The dining room staff were helpful and cheerful, which is always a bonus.Breakfast was good Walk into town about 5/6 minutes. Couple of downsides - Car parking limited so not sure where alternatives would be in peak season. Although there is a bar, there is no lounge area. removing a few tables and make a comfortable seating area for pre/post dinner drinks would be nice.

This is nowhere near a 4 star hotel, 2 stars at a push! In brief, frosty receptionist verging on cheeky. No parking outside hôtel. Grossly overpriced. 1 star tea and coffee facilities. Tiny TV in the corner of the room. Stuffy. Stained floors. Corporate and dated interior. One miniscule shampoo sample for 2 people, I also noticed all toiletries were out of date. No water in room as you'd expect on bedside at a 4 star hotel. Noisy to the extent of having to knock on doors at 5am (not to mention the banging of fire doors all night every 2 minutes). Absolutely no soundproofing, paper thin walls. Bar manager was lovely but this was a terrible end to our otherwise perfect holiday.

Stayed for two nights but wish it was longer, really really great hotel. We had a suite which was lovely, bright and clean. The restaurant was lovely too and the food fantastic, especially the seafood salad and the haddock and chips and the Thai mussels were to die for ! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had booked to stay at another 4 star hotel which let us down, and I am so glad they did or we wouldn’t have known about this little gem. Will definitely stay here again when next back in Fort William. Would highly recommend!
