I hated this hotel. It looks dirty and it is dirty. Not sure how they are rated 3 stars with their quality to be honest. As soon as I walked to the hallway to our room, there was a strong smell of damp and mould....More

Fort William has many shops and the local West Highland Museum contains numerous fascinating Jacobite exhibits. The Information Office can provide a wealth of local information on walks and natural history or you may like to take a boat trip on the Loch. Perhaps you would enjoy a leisurely stroll along the loch-side, a trip on the cable car or a journey on the railway to Mallaig. If you are interested in taking the steam train to Mallaig it may be advisable to book in advance to avoid disappointment because it is quite popular.
Ben Nevis Distillery is open 9-5 weekdays and 10 - 4pm Saturdays in September. There is a bus service from opposite the hotel to Lochy Bridge where the distillery is situated. Takes around 30 - 45 minutes with one change from no.44 to 46 in Ft William then a 3 minute walk to the Distillery from Lochy Bridge.
