The hotel is not far from the Ben Nevis visitors centre so it is an ideal base. We arrived around 8:30 in the evening after a long drive and ready for some food. The rooms were clean with the usual en suite, TV, and bed after taking our luggage to the room we went to the restaurant for our tea....

I booked this last minute for myself and my son and did feel it was over priced for a w star hotel. On arrival it did not look great from the outside. Staff were very welcoming, the interior seems a bit tired and run down but staff did explain they were renovating. The room was basic and quite small but...

We read ALL the previous reviews (inc. thread-bare carpets and poor rooms) and can honestly state that our overall experience was considered 4*! Yip, the stair carpet is excessively worn in a couple of corners on the stair-well and yip,the radiator in the 'gents' requires a 'lick of paint'.(no wonder the carpet takes a 'hammering' since the majority of guests...

Romantic was clean and tidy. Bar meal was very good. Staff were very attentive. Reception is the was really busy. I don't appreciate having to report a broken radiator to the back of her head because she is busy. I'd just driven 500+ miles and I gave her my full attention. On check out she was. On check out she...

Stayed for two nights as part of Statesman Rail Heritage train trip. The staff dealt promptly and efficiently with the arrival of two coach loads of people at 8.15 in the evening. Arriving with a coach party after a night stop over near Preston. We were greeted by friendly staff who moved our suitcases to our rooms and settled us all in quickly. Our room was in an annex, some fifty yards from the main hotel. It was fairly small but comfortably furnished. All of the features of the room worked properly...
