Welcoming staff, good food especially fish and chips along with a really good atmosphere. Free parking available onsite. Lovely cooked breakfast included in the price. Very central location for the town centre and close to the beach. Will return.

Property's Favourite Review
Nice pub, good for lunch and drinks. Heated beer garden if you prefer to sit outside. Lunch food was very good, we had fajitas, a burger and a pizza. Lots of nice little booths to sit in. Wide range of drinks including cocktails. Staff very friendly.

As part of a group that wanted food and drink my wife who is wheat and dairy intolerant was offered a gluten-free vegan pizza as her only option. What was presented was a gluten-free pizza base covered with tomato paste and vegan bacon. Nothing else! No vegetables, herbs, seasoning or anything!! Absolutely disgraceful! The £10 paid was returned but my wife went hungry.

Response from Havelock Nairn, Owner at The Havelock
Responded 27 May 2022
I'm sorry your wife did not enjoy the option she selected. The Vegan pizza was prepared as described on the menu but we would have been happy to add any extra toppings if requested. There were, in fact, six other suitable dish options available and we offered to amend any of our other dishes to suit. Naturally, we refunded the meal but sadly despite our efforts to please there was nothing further we could offer which was acceptable to her. This was disappointing as we have a well deserved reputation for offering a wide choice of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free choices and are always happy to prepare special dishes to order.

Inn is located within walking distance of everything in town. Minutes from beach and river. The pub serves a great Sunday roast. The drinks are reasonably priced. Breakfast was delicious and included in price of the room. The room was clean, with lots of natural lighting, nice hardwood floors, well lit. Bathroom was large and newly renovated. The staff were wonderful too. We enjoyed our stay

Excellent time in Havelock, attentive staff and friendly. Great atmosphere and lovely food. Will definitely return when I am up North. Nice to get staff who listen and look after their clientele. Good interior and location tucked away near seaside.

We were out for a walk and came across The Havelock. Decided on macaroni for lunch - wrong decision. We got a small bowl of watery macaroni , and 2 small slices of Garlic Bread, costing just under £12 pp. The portion size was like a kids portion, and not worth the money! No sea view as stated in previous review, tho that didn’t bother us.

Recently tastefully refurbished, the Havelock retains its charm and ambience in a fantastic location within Nairn town. Rooms are as comfortable as current Covid19 restrictions allow. Staff are very friendly and diligent in maintaining all cleanliness rules. Great choice of lovely beer gardens, food and sea views. Well worth a visit.

Staff and Hotel was excellent, lovely room and the food was superb. It's location is also great up from the fantastic sandy beach whilst it was a great base for exploring further afield along the many lovely villages and beaches close by.

Overall, absolutely great weekend. The Hotel is very Covid ready. The room was great, no 5. Bed was very comfortable. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. We ate one night in the hotel, which can be busy, so recommend booking. The food was lovely. Staff were great, both in the bar/restaurant and Morag at breakfast was very attentive. Breakfast was as much as you want. Lovely. Overall a great trip. We will use this hotel again and have no problems recommending it.

Fantastic value for the centre of Nairn. Very accommodating when busy. Food at breakfast & in the restaurant ideal. Genuinely couldn't beat this for the money considering similar venues in the area. Same time next year!
