Ian gave us the most warmest of Scottish welcomes. The house has been gorgeously restored and the hosts very accommodating, providing recommendations for local walks and nearby restaurants. The room was spacious, facilities catered for, bed super comfortable! We will be back!

We found this B & B to be very peaceful and beautifully kept up. It is near to the Inverness airport and offers a very tasty full Scottish breakfast! The owners have run it for twenty-one years and obviously know what they are doing. We highly recommend it.

We stopped at Carnach house on a tour of Scotland, from the welcome from Ian to the goodbye from Ian & Hilary it is difficult to know what excelled most. When we arrived Ian was concerned that we had not booked dinner locally, suggested an excellent pub and booked it for us. The house is imposing from the outside, approached by a long drive through the grounds . The rooms are spacious , decorated and furnished in keeping with the house and immaculate. Lovely and plentiful towels in the bathroom. Breakfast freshly cooked and served in the spacious dining room. A high standard throughout and well worth visiting.

Turning off the main road and up the drive to Carnach House it is impossible not to admire the very pretty extensive gardens full of the most attractive flowering bushes that fill the air with a wonderful aroma. The house itself is imposing and the owners, Hilary and Ian, have been successfully restoring it to its original style, creating an admirable home. When we arrived, Hilary helped us with our luggage to our very comfortable and spacious en suite room and told us a little about the history of the property. The quality of the furniture and furnishings are of a very high standard, everywhere was immaculate, the hosts are friendly and knowledgeable, giving us advice about places to visit and things to do. The weather prevented us from making the most of the grounds, however, we were able to admire the stunning views from our bedroom window. In the morning we ate breakfast in the impressive dining room, chatting to other guests around the table. Sadly, the red squirrels did not make an appearance!

A real gem Had a fabulous stay at Carnach House, The large stone built house sits in acres of beautiful mature gardens and forest with a sweeping drive to the house. Hosts Hilary and Ian were just fantastic and were always there when needed, we were greeted with a warm smile and instantly felt very welcome. Inside is very spacious and tastefully restored/ decorated. The bedroom was beautifully clean and had a large ensuite. We had a very peaceful night sleep and a full Scottish breakfast in the breakfast room overlooking the gardens. The property is perfectly situated on the edge of Nairn, perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway and just a short walk in to the centre of Nairn. All in all, our stay here was fabulous and would highly recommend.

Last stayed here in 1988 when Carnach was a fully licensed hotel. Wow! What a tranformation. We had a room with a four poster which was to a 5 star plus standard, All the things we really like in a bedroom, proper chairs with wee tables for your books and drinks etc. A palatial en-suite with jacuzzi bath and candles round about, the shower with choice of handheld, or overhead and body jets. The boss and his wife were friendly and attentive without being obtrusive , the breakfast was perfect with a big choice all cooked to order. One of Nairn’s best!

8 B&B's in 10 days. We pushed the boat out as it was our 25th Anniversary so stayed in some pretty special places. Carnach House was way and above the best. Hilary and Ian were the perfect hosts, we were made to feel at home throughout our stay, breakfast was wonderful and the accommodation? Stunning, Spacious, Immaculate... Attention to detail was faultless. Room overlooking beautiful gardens and plenty of red squirrels. Only 3 rooms so if you want that extra special place book early.

We stayed here for 3 nights and what a treat it was! The room was absolutely beautiful with everything of a very high quality. Easily worthy of one of a good UK 5* Hotel. The breakfast was superb and plentiful. Hillary and Ian were top hosts, nothing too much trouble and extremely friendly and helpful. We wouldn't consider going anywhere else, if staying in the area again. Many, many thanks.
