Lovely welcome into the hotel, the building is beautiful. Room was so nice , very large and comfortable. We ate at the hotel on the Saturday night and all 3 of us had really nice meals. Enjoyed the breakfast, but due to covid it is not self service. Hotel in a lovely location and area surrounding was so nice. The pool/jacuzzi/steam room/sanua was so nice so clean. Unfortunately you have to pay for a deluxe room to enjoy the relaxation room and get a dressing gown and slippers (or pay £60 each!!) Feel this is a little tight, it is an expensive 4 star hotel and the room was expensive, I don't think there should be extras for people who paid more, when we paid £250 for one night, but that wasnt deemed enough for the dressing gowns!! The pool area only had one shower and changing area, which I didnt think was enough. I would stay again, but the no access areas in the pool area was a real shame.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay with us. Our upgrade rooms do enjoy addtional features over the classic rooms, however the thermal suite is an extra to all residents regardless of room type. We do of course take your feedback on board and will reassess our offering if necessary. Thanks again.

Lovely Victorian hotel overlooking the sea (golf course is at the side). Called in to have a bottle of wine and relax in the library/lounge area overlooking the firth. My husband noticed a 10% extra charge added to the bill without even being told, never mind asked if that was okay. Having a meal we have no problem in tipping but for drinks only? Made us feel a wee bit awkward.

Thank you for your review. We do add an optional service charge to all food and beverage items, this is completely optional and the team will remove without any issue if asked. 100% of our service charge is divided amongst the team. We're sorry if this was not explained to you at the time. Thanks again for your feedback.

Lovely stay but could’ve been better! Had to rearrange stay due to chickenpox and staff were very accommodating- grateful for that. Thought we were getting bunk beds for kids but not the case - still enjoyed stay. Most disappointed in pool times- wasn’t previously told under 8s only allowed to swim between 8-9am and 6-7 until we got a phone call the day before- meant we had to rush meals and activities to make these restrictions. Also changing area terrible- so so slippery, only 1 shower was also too slippery and water leaks everywhere so have to put towel on floor - no spinner or bags for wet costumes and my big grip was as a spa hotel no dressing gowns for residents to wear to pool- when I asked re this was told that they were short in supply so had to pick at random which rooms got them !! At the price for an overnight stay I would think this was a must!! First time that’s ever happened to us. Really enjoyed the dining area but especially at breakfast but where there’s no kids menu it would be helpful if kids choice of food could be put on a small plate which is not boiling hot- small cutlery would be helpful! All these things have made me wonder if families are actually not really wanted here which is a shame as loved the setting, area , the walls the views and the staff were manly lovely - was grateful fir the barman who informed me of the £7.50 room service charge for 2 glasses of bedtime milk for the kids ( no fridge in room)so I could go down 1 flight of stairs and get it myself and leave a tip! Hopefully these things will give some constructive criticism .

Thank you for your review, we are really sorry for any disappointment during your visit. The child swim policy is on our website, all booking engines and on our confirmations, this is followed up by our team confirming on our pre arrival calls as we are aware that famlies need to make arrangements. These times are best suited to the needs of our business and all our guests. We have had major supply issues with our external laundry company and we are sorry if this impacted negatively on your stay. All our breakfast menu is suitable for children and we will provide small portions or individually tailored meals if asked. All hotels charge a tray charge as a member of staff is removed from service in order to action this, however we take your feedback on board. Thanks again for reviewing your stay with us.

We have just had the best time ever at the Golf View Hotel! We had a beautiful suite overlooking the Moray Firth. The room was gorgeous, immaculately clean and comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and the food was amazing, we also had sandwiches in bar one afternoon too. The staff were all so helpful and I wish I could name them all in here. We did get served by Jess at one point and she made us the best Kraken Rum drink. I really cannot fault anything with the Golf View Hotel. They made the last leg of our Silver Wedding Anniversary Road Trip the most enjoyable Thank you all

A beautiful hotel in a stunning setting - only wish we could have stayed longer, would love to return. Bedroom and bathroom were beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable and large. Amazing spa facilities with fantastic views from the hot tub.

We recently stayed at the hotel as playing golf. Hotel is well situated and has lovely views. Unfortunately we did not have time to enjoy the leisure facilities. We had a call the day before to check restaurant reservations. Really impressed with the member of staff taking time to call -I had forgotten to make the reservations when I booked the room so appreciate the call. The room was comfortable and spacious. Had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Had a small issue with room but would check at time of booking in future re room set up. This would not put us off staying at hotel, if in the area again. The newsletter in the rooms was personalised for our stay ,so that was a lovely personal touch and appreciated. The food was excellent. We had both dinner and breakfast during our stay. All staff were lovely and went out there way to make our stay enjoyable. Would recommend this hotel.

We spent three lovely nights at this hotel. Pool, jacuzzi and you may also walk along the shore. The food was excellent and I must also say the staff made us feel at home. We are both in our 80’s and really 3njoyed relaxing in the lovely lounge with windows looking onto the sea. We watched as the tides changed and in the evening we saw a group of kayaks passing the hotel. Looking forward to another stay at this lovely hotel Thank you to the staff who made our stay a very relaxing one. 💕💕

I have dined at the Golfview many times, which has always been a lovely experience in the spacious conservatory, and I’ve always wanted to stay, i was not disappointed. The room was stunning, on entering classic FM was playing on the DAB radio which also added to the relaxation. Later I enjoyed the heated pool, like a huge warm bath, and the outdoor jacuzzi admiring the views over the moray firth. Looking forward to my next visit, and a stint in the health spa!!

Excellent location. Very attentive staff. Comfortable rooms with lots of space. Would definitely revisit in future. Next to a golf course and right on the fifth. Can walk to the beach though the beach was not like any Caribbean beach. Had great temps and so could walk on the beach everyday.
