We are a friendly family hotel and bar, run by local man Chris Reid. We have 5 Bedrooms, all en-suite, offering full Highland breakfast (at any time of the morning for early risers!). We offer a well stocked cosy bar serving good quality food at very competitive prices, popular steak nights every Friday and Saturday are a must try. Ideal location surrounded by a host of top-class golf courses including Castle Stuart Golf Links where Phil Mickelson won the 2013 Scottish Open. Not forgetting two championship courses in Nairn itself. A perfect base from which to explore all that Nairn and the North of Scotland has to offer We have a vast car park at the front of the hotel and we are only 10 minutes from Inverness Airport, two minutes from Nairn train station and have a bus stop at our front gate (A96 Main Route).

Nairn is a nice town, worth a visit, and the hotel (5 rooms?) is good. 5/10 minute walk to town centre. Nice old fashioned building, helpful staff though I suspect no lift and it's a couple of flights up to the room. Nice to have bar on the premises which was friendly. You can eat dinner in the evening though I think you should to eat in the bar rather than the breakfast room, though we ate out. Very nice large room. Enjoyed it a lot, apart from the dodgy shower.

My sister and I stayed here for one night and everyone was so kind to us! They have a little pub as well. They also have a little restaurant that we had both breakfast and dinner at which was very convenient. I would highly recommend this place.

I have stayed at the Westerlea on several occasions and our recent visit again did not disappoint. Chris and his staff made us extremely welcome as usual and catered for our every need. The breakfasts are excellent can recommend the quality of food served on the bar menu. The rooms are clean and comfortable and contain everything you need for your stay. The hotel is ideally located for all the amenities in the area. As a party of golfers we have already booked for 2023 and would have no hesitation in recommending the Westerlea to anyone.

My partner Dennis Bremner & I stayed there for four nights while exploring Nairn where I used to live over 40 years when my late husband was stationed there & both our sons went to school n Nairn & thoroughly enjoyed it ~ the Westerlea was excellent for our stay for ourselves and well behaved dog. We used the hotel as our base to explore the area and enjoy Nairn with the beautiful beaches and very friendly folk ~ the food we got from the chef at the Westerlea was exceptional & all the staff were very helpful in every ways so we would recommend this hotel to everyone

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights we had a great stay. The room was lovely, very spacious and breakfast was delicious? We had Sunday Dinner on second day, I had the roast beef and wife had homemade lasagna, couldn’t fault it. We were made very welcome by the locals who had some stories to tell in the bar downstairs. We had a wonderful walk along the golf course/beachfront, views were spectacular. We highly recommend to stay here. Chris and his team do a great job, very friendly and welcoming.

Had a great stay last week. Clean, charming house hotel just a few minutes walk from the center of Nairn and the beach. Girl’s trip in a lovely, large en suite room with a double and a twin. Delicious to order breakfast. Well stocked bar. Friendly personalized service by Chris Reid and staff. So helpful with recommendations and with arranging transportation back to the train station. Plenty of free parking for guests. Highly Recommend a stay.

Chris, the owner at Westerlea thoroughly looked after us all weekend. The rooms were lovely with luxurious bath towels. The whole hotel was exceptionally clean and it was evident that it had recently been refurbished. The bar staff were friendly and the breakfast was delicious. Chris also helped us arrange a mini bus to take us to Castle Stuart which was appreciated. All in all a very enjoyable experience. We will all be recommending the Westerlea. Thanks Chris to your team.
