Our family occupied three rooms for three days at Sunny Brae and enjoyed the entire experience. Rachel, who trained in hotel management, and her husband John, who grew up in the hotel and restaurant business, are welcoming and very skilled at meeting the needs of their guests. Rachel was there when we needed her, but otherwise gave us our privacy. One day she set up a taxi for my wife. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well equipped. My wife and I were fortunate to stay in the Master Seaview room, with a gorgeous picture window that looked out over the park and the sea beyond. We could watch the sun rise in the morning. The bathroom was great and had a tub. Each morning we came down to an enticing breakfast menu. There is much to choose from, including yogurt, granola, fresh berries, porridge, smoked salmon with scrambled eggs, omelettes, as well as a full Scottish breakfast. John knows what he is doing in the kitchen, and it was all delicious. For dinner, Rachel suggested several places within walking distance that worked out very well. There is ample parking, and the location is a quick, one block walk across the park from the beach. We were very happy with our stay at Sunny Brae, and recommend it highly.

I stayed at the Sunny Brae B&B for two nights during a cycling tour in July 2022. It was easily the best place I stayed during the tour. The room was lovely, the breakfast was delicious, and Rachel was always available but never intrusive. It was a terrific experience.

Stunning small hotel or bed and breakfast....I defy you to find a better place anywhere in Scotland. This is probably the best place I have stayed in Scotland, six of us stayed here for 2 nights. Beautiful house stunning rooms and great food. Rachel and John were wonderful hosts....struggling to write any more superlatives, don't book anywhere else.

I stayed with family at Sunny Brae for three nights in June 2021. First, the situation of the BandB is marvellous, with superb views of the sea which can be enjoyed from a terrace or the comfortably furnished sun room. Our room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Very comfy large bed . Lovely toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice. There was a range of delicious local produce, cooked freshly to order. Rachel’s attention to detail is clear, from the warmth of the welcome to the high quality of every aspect of one’s stay. It is obvious that much thought has been given to guests’ comfort, to great effect. Nothing is too much trouble . Rachel is the perfect host . She is kind, courteous, efficient, friendly and very charming . We could not fault Sunny Brae or its owners -the perfect stay !

If you like watching dolphins swimming in the sea whilst you enjoy the most delicious breakfast you've ever had, if you appreciate clean, comfortable accomodation in an idyllic location - this gem of a bed and breakfast should be on your list. Upon arrival you'll receive the warmest of welcomes and throughout your stay care and attention that's hard to top. We all thoroughly enjoyed our 3 nights here and can't recommend this B&B highly enough.
