A very good hotel. The staff were all fantastic from the restaurant to the reception. They were all really friendly and very professional. The breakfast was really nice and the evening meals in the garden room were brilliant as well. My bed was really comfy and the room had plenty of space and a great size bathroom as well. The only reason I haven't given a score of 5 was because the walls were paper thin and I could hear my neighbours talking and watching telly. Location is fantastic, plenty of parking and like I mentioned the hotel and staff are great

What can I say? Really, really SUPERB in every way. The hotel is family owned and run and it shows. This is quite simply the BEST hotel I have stayed in for at least 25 years. From the arrival to the departure the staff are very friendly and clearly want to do everything they can to ensure that you have a perfect stay. Rooms are spotless and equipped as you would expect. A whisky drinkers paradise of course with the number of whiskeys on offer. The evening meal was excellent - tasty and, frankly, in too large a quantity to be finished. The steak was presented on a literally sizzling platter and was the best I've had in years. The following cheeseboard was a perfect end to the meal. Breakfast, which had to be ordered the night before, was cooked to the order and again was tasty and enormous - the waitress told me they liked to think that you didn't need lunch after eating there. If you are travelling by train, the hotel is only a 3 minute walk along the flat from the station. Sadly, at my age I am unlikely to visit the hotel again but, please, do so in my stead.

An overnight stay after travelling with my son on a 9hr drive to his RAF base in Lossiemouth. Excellent location for the train station and town. The staff were all very friendly and professional, we received a lovely warm welcome on arrival. The environment is equally welcoming, a lovely little bar area and restaurant, although we didn’t eat in the restaurant it did seem very popular with residents and locals. We stayed in room 21, of average size for a double, certainly had everything we needed and cleaned to an high standard throughout, also quietly located. Parking was plentiful - although we didn’t need to park this time, but lots of spaces if needed. The breakfast was super and very well organised. Will definitely return without a doubt.

Only stayed here the in night. After checking in, and going up to my room, I noticed they only gave my a single bed room when I had paid for a double. I went back downstairs and this was quickly fixed. The room itself was fine, although the floor wasn't level which was a little weird. The bed was only a double bed, which was a bit small for me as I'm a taller guy. (Should have stayed somewhere with a queen bed, my fault) Whisky bar was really good, good location.

Visited this restaurant for lunch today. It was simply amazing. The very warm friendly welcome from Ellis was first class.he was ably assisted by Kieran. The food was 5 star, the beef teriyaki was amazing,as was the roast chicken. The sticky toffee was to die for as was the pear and ginger sponge, this was well worth the drive from Inverness, it certainly on our must revisit list. Well done

This is the second time that we have stayed at The Laichmoray. What a fantastic hotel this is. When you go on holiday you want a clean room, a comfy bed, a good breakfast and great staff. Tick, tick, tick and tick. Check in was faultless. Our room was clean and tidy. You pre order breakfast the evening before. We have no issue with this at all. Especially in these current times when people still wish to keep a little distance. Food is cooked perfectly and served on time. Anything you need, you just have to ask. The staff are always ready and willing to help you with any request. Rooms are serviced every day. Bed was extremely comfortable, great sleep every night. We were at the front of the building and noise was never an issue. The location is perfect if you fancy a wander in to the centre and the train station is right across the road. We ate in the hotel four nights out of the five that we stayed. Always a good idea to book as it is a busy place. Food and service in the restaurant is impeccable. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area. Can't thank the staff enough for making our stay so pleasant. Without a doubt we will be back again.

We stopped at the Laichmoray Hotel in Elgin for just under a week at the end of May beginning of June. We were extremely lucky to stop in the cottage in the grounds which had two double bedrooms, two bathrooms, walk in showers, a Fully fitted kitchen, dining table and chairs, living room, its own driveway, garage and private garden. The hotel is centrally located and a few minutes walk into the town centre and three minutes to the train station. The staff were absolutely lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order and you could have as much or as little as you wanted. We ate in the restaurant in the evening several times and the food here was excellent too. It obviously has a good reputation and it was constantly busy, we were sometimes late to book, but the staff always managed to fit us in somehow. We are very happy to recommend. The hotel is run as a hotel should be with the guest always in mind. Fabulous place!
