Hello. My wife and me visited this lovely and outstanding B&B in July with my parents-in-law and we were thrilled!! The church is really an insider tip. The rooms are so well furnished and well equippted in detail and offer a warm atmosphere. We had a spacious room (the family room) and bath (new standards) and there was a living... More

It is quite clear that Parrandier has been the beneficiary of a lot of love and care. Inside, it has been finished to a very high standard. Outside, nature has been allowed to flourish with a minimum ofl intrusion. This is mirrored in the way that the current owners have made a concerted effort to involve the local community in... More

We came much too early. The owner, Andreas and Kris, gave us nevertheless a very heartly welcome so that we right felt at home. We had the cosy and small bedroom and we liked it much. You could see that the room and the bath were decorated by heart. We stayed there for 11 days and we had the 3... More

The place up for sale on our arrival??? Evening meal, I would think twice!!!! ( I would rather eat at Macdonalds or Burger King and eat processed burgers) Cold Breakfast with cheap sausage on cold plates. Munch box yoghurts (The kind that you buy from Aldi for kids). Okay if you looking for cheap and clean, just dont eat their... More

Yes, The Old Church of Urquhart is for sale as we like to swap into different parts of tourism in Scotland and like to find ways to combine our 2 worlds in Scotland and on the Canary Islands more easily! Well, this is simply a comment after guests have booked our smallest room, me having showed them by accident the... More

My husband and I stayed here on our tour of Scotland as part of our honeymoon. We thought it would be fun to stay in an unusual setting, and we were right. The church is in the middle of large fields and definitely stands out in the surrounding landscape. The caretakers were very friendly and gave us a tour of... More

We got married at The Old Church of Urqhuart last year. Stayed for 2 nights us and 9 guests. Everything was arranged by them from the photographer to the flowers. We all had a ball. We stayed the Thursday and got married the Friday in the church gardens. Great backdrop for photos and the photographer was lovely. We got to... More

We recently enjoyed a one night stay with dinner and breakfast with Simone and Dittmar (the current caretakers - not owners). We received a warm welcome and a full tour of the church. The setting for the church is very rural - on a small hill surrounded by fields and close to the (very) small village of Urquhart. This is... More

My wife and I spent two nights here - very nice. We were welcomed by Simone and Dittmat who did their best to make us feel at home. I have read reviews complaining about the owner (Mr Peter) but these two were really nice. The location is very rural, although 10 minutes to Elgin by car. The archeticture of the... More

This is the most unfriendly and unwelcoming place I have ever visited, I had mentioned we would be arriving at 2pm, when we arrived the place was in darkness. We had to try and entertain ourselves until we got a phone call at 4 to say they where back. we where then rudely treated on arrival, we where told (not... More
