Spent two nights here recently on a bit of a trip down memory lane for my mum and I and we honestly couldn't have asked for a better place. We were upgraded (thank you Diana) to the Arran Suite and it was beautiful - better than I've experienced in some so called 5 star hotels. They've obviously put a lot... More

This is the second time I have stayed at Braidmead House and the welcome and experience was every bit as good as the first time. Di, her husband Jim, and Alison, who served breakfast, are lovely, friendly people who make you feel very welcome from the minute you walk in the front door. Chatting to Di is like talking to... Not sure if this was our 3rd or 4th stay at this beautiful bed and breakfast but it is such a perfect place in a perfect location for walking to good restaurants, coffee shops and harbour side and so much about it is good we keep returning. This time we had a lovely room on the ground floor, double and... More

Braidmead House is located in a very nice part of town and there is plenty of parking in front. Diana made us feel very welcome and showed us to our room which was spotlessly clean as was the ensuite bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. There is also a sunny lounge in which you can sit and read your book or... More

The rooms are very spacious and plenty of parking. High level of finish and some of the biggest rooms we've stayed in. Whilst we stayed noise was an issue - there were some workmen staying and other residents - not the fault of the property of course but did affect our stay. Breakfast was plentiful however not the best I've... More

Braidmead House is beautifully and tastefully decorated with furnishing to match. Our room and on - suite were large and we had to remind ourselves that we were in fact in a B and B. We received a lovely warm welcome so the Braidmead was everything we could of wished for. Breakfasts were delicious and catered for a wide variety... More

A third visit to this excellent B & B where we stayed in a beautiful large room. The rooms are spotlessly clean with thought given to every detail to provide a comfortable stay. A very good variety of foods are offered for breakfast including soya milk and gluten free options. The service was excellent and any requests were met in... More

I have stayed at allegedly luxury hotels from Aberdeen to Singapore and the accommodation at Braidmead House is right up there with them. We had a suite, which consisted of a beautifully decorated and comfortable bedroom, a little sitting room and a truly luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was to die for - but in a good way! Our hostess, Diane Rennie... More

This is a beautifully refurbished house with one of the warmest welcomes you'll receive by Diane, the owner. Our room was more suite than room and so comfortable, thick carpets, muted colours, comfortable bed and lashings of hot water from the shower. Delicious breakfasts with a choice of a "cooked to order" full Scottish or a continental with tea or... More
