Stayed one night on a golf trip and chose this because it was central and very reasonable. The whole place is old fashioned but in a pleasant way and our room, though basic, was clean and adequate. Staff were friendly and the continental breakfast at £4.95 was excellent - plenty of choice and well presented. Parking is free and right...

Loved our stay in this period building. It's a bit tired but that added to the atmosphere. Comfortable beds. Great sleep. Powerful shower and very clean. Will come back. It's definitely worth a visit.

Stayed for 1 night, great service and great food. Public areas a little tired and dated but room was comfortable, clean and the bed was comfy with all items you would expect to find including a welcome chocolate!. Would definitely return and bring the family.

Stayed here for one night and so glad we did! Girl on reception couldn't' have been nicer. Our room was huge and very clean and comfortable. We had drinks in the bar and dinner in the lovely restaurant - both served by the same busy but lovely member of staff. The food - 1 steak and 1 Greek salad were...

Stayed there one Saturday night late March to attend a function locally. The hotel is ideally placed next to the station which has a large car park. Check in was quick. Receptionist and all staff we encountered were friendly and professional. Agree with some of the other reviewers about the size of the rooms and the need for a bit...

There are glimpses throughout of the former glory of this hotel. Sadly, it has been allowed to deteriorate and only a total refurbishment can save it. Our rooms were very tired and reminiscent of a room seen in a TV programme of a shabby, avoid at all costs, hotel. The staff fight an ever loosing battle to keep the rooms...
