We had a five day break with Shearings coach holidays. We paid a little extra to have a room with a scenic view and it was certainly worth the little extra. The view was beautiful and very spacious. There was a good selection of food for both breakfast and the evening meal. Staff pleasant and helpful. We used the pool...

Stayed here in February 2016 with a friend for 2 nights. The hotel looks impressive on arrival and the reception area is charming, We booked a standard double room and it was very outdated. The bathroom particularly needed a lot of work - I had to force myself into the shower as the bathroom was absolutely freezing! The food was...

Hi, thanks for the post despite being a mixed one. We do have a few standard rooms that will be tackled on our next round of refurbishment but in the meantime the vast majority of our accommodation has had attention in recent years. If you do choose to give us another chance then book one of those and I am...

We walked in yesterday and requested a room. The hotel was very busy, but a room was found for us, and a very pleasant room it turned out to be. We enjoyed an hour or so swimming, followed by a lovely evening meal. Breakfast this morning was perfection. Every member of staff we came into contact with made us feel...

Hi, what a great endorsement for just getting in your car and seeing where it takes you. Thankfully for us you ended up at our door and even better than that you enjoyed all we had to offer. Next time I get a couple of days off I might well do something similar.... Thanks for the review. Best Regards Chris...

Hi, some positives in amongst the critique. We are always striving to improve everything to do with both our operation and fabric of the building and I firmly believe we constantly make progress and are heading forward at a rate the business can handle. It is difficult responding to four, 5 star reviews on the trot then are faced with...

We stayed here on a Shearings coach holiday. Lovely hotel in every way. Room spotless, bed so comfortable, lots of hot water. Food was excellent and service second to none. Restaurant was like a well oiled machine. Staff couldn't be faulted, smiling and efficient. The pool was lovely and jacuzzi and sauna a welcome addition. Time there went so fast...

A lot of great people were misunderstood through the years,Picasso, Darwin, Jesus,Jazz musicians etc. So we have now Frank, sometimes people don't undersatnd Frank, so I say...

Hi, love your comment about Frank, he is chuffed and it is lovely to read a customer endorsing his silliness. Mostly he concentrates on running an efficient restaurant but when he can he likes to have a laugh and in this industry that is very important. Thanks a lot and see you next time. Hi, A disappointing review. Of course, I struggle to find your comments about the staff as a fair assessment....they are without question our best asset and that is backed up by the numerous positive comments on here and other review forums. Otherwise, I take your comments on the chin and accept that on occasion a tiny percentage of our custom...
