Stayed here for three nights - initially for work and then for a weekend in Glasgow. The rooms are dated but clean. We were in a room adjacent to the waterfall and it's very noisy (we found it soothing though). The breakfast was very good and we found all of the staff really friendly. The WiFi works well throughout the...

We arrived on the Sunday so not sure where to go for evening meal but stopped in the hotel, due to it being out of season the restaurant wasn't open...

Really good central location, walking distance from Abbey, town centre and a short hop to Glasgow airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful but the food (apart from breakfast) was mediocre and uninspired. The hotel has seen better days and really needs a complete refurbishment but on the positive side the room was clean, the shower worked as did the...

Don't be fooled by the glossy website. This hotel may one have been a majestic olde worlde place but it's a run down hotel in the middle of a mass of main roads on three sides and the river to the back. The room was small but adequate to an extent. Main problem was lack of hot water on first...

Booked this hotel for 1 night to attend a family funeral. Staff were friendly but hotel was badly run down. Torn, dirty, sticky carpets. Broken sockets. Leaky toilet. Dust build up behind furniture. Heating that wasn't working in below zero temperatures.
