We have stayed at Bythesea and the sister bed and breakfast Craggallan many times before. What can I say! Brilliant. Very clean, great staff and great breakfasts with excellent on street parking. A hidden gem and only a few minutes walk from Ayr centre. Very highly recommended.

I stay in lots of hotels/B&B accommodation with my work. I have yet to find another place in the UK that can compete with Bythesea, Julie is a fantastic proprietor, The location could not be any better. Always super clean and no noise apart from seagulls (It's by the sea) Take a stroll down to the beach a minute away....

We stayed at this lovely little guest house while attending the Open Golf in July. The location is superb, 1 block form the sea and just a few miles from Troon. It is also walking distance of several restaurants in Ayr. Our room was on the top floor, not great when you have a lot of luggage but staff helped....

We are road tripping around the UK and happened upon Bythesea on a booking website. The house is beautifully appointed, right near the sea front and a short walk from the town. We were made very welcome from the start and received excellent service. Our room was spacious with a huge ensuite and very comfortable beds. The breakfast menu offers...

We Stayed the the room for 3. The moment we opened to door we all said "wow". Everything was large the room, beds, bathroom. Everything was to a 5 star the decor, mint on pillow, fridge in room. We were handed keys to come and go as we pleased. Which is when we discovered just how close to the amazing...

Fabulous room, fabulous hosts, fabulous breakfast ! The extra mile is no problem here. When enquiring about a stay I asked where a nice place for an anniversary dinner might be and on our arrival found a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket and 2 glasses! and the dinner was none too shabby either ! Many thanks Julie and...

Decided to book a room at ByTheSea for an overnight stay after receiving recommendations from friends & family over the years. Recommendations were not unfounded as the guesthouse is spotlessly clean & comfortable with a mini fridge & secure safe in the rooms which I thought was a nice touch. The en-suite was a decent size with a supply of...

Had a lovely stay at Bythesea. Room was a triple although we'd booked a twin. Was big, clean, lovely fresh sheets and towels, good tea tray. Bathroom spacious with powerful shower and Arran Aromatic products. Hair dryer and straighteners provided. Good location for the beach and shops. Permit provided for on street parking. Would love to stay again

Turned up on a Friday to watch Rod Stewart in Kilmarnock and this was all we could find on the Internet and for our money I could not believe how good our room was. We were in room number 1 which had a sea glimpse over the roofs but the cleanliness and bed were outstanding. The usual tea not coffee...
