W were staying at a local B&B and the hosts recommended here for dinner. 5 minute walk to the hotel. What a stunning venue. Very naturally Scottish location with a Burns theme. Beautifully done. The selection for dinner was outstanding. Desperate Vegetarian/Vegan menu. Excellent variety and selection. Setting was excellent. Service was discreet but friendly. Food was outstanding. So good...

We had visited the nearby Maclaurin Gallery and needed a light lunch. The hotel was warm and welcoming on this cold and grey day. We sat at a table near the bar and had glasses of wine or Guinness and we all had steaming bowls of excellent Cullen Skink which was well made with undated haddock, milk new potatoes and...

Having recently attended the Brig O Doon restaurant at Christmas and having a great expeir my family decided to return for my Mum's 50th. To be fair to the staff they were pleasant. Everything was going well while we had drinks in the bar area. However when we went to the restaurant (a group of 10) only 4 got what...

Hi Kieran, we are extremely sorry for the events on the evening of your Mum's birthday, and that it did not live up to your previous 'great ' experience. On the evening you visited, we had taken on two new members of staff, who unfortunately where overwhelmed by the pace of the restaurant. Our Senior Manager did his best to...

The food was fabulous, the drinks good with a great choice of beers, wines etc. Great value as well for what is a really nice place. We were lucky to...

The people were helpful and friendly, the hotel was very clean and had character "in spades". We were there for our son's wedding and everything could not have gone smoother. We stayed overnight and the rooms and en-suites were large, warm, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was to die for and the meal put on in the evening could not...

Spent two delightful nights in this lovely traditional Scottish hotel. The grounds are stunning and overlook the River Doon. Having previously stayed in a Costley hotel, the 'Lochgreen' for a wedding, I think this was my favourite. The reception staff were very efficient and helpful, the food was excellent and the actual 'Burns Night Supper' was one of the best...

Just been to the Burns Night at this hotel. Enjoyable evening had by most of the guests. The meal was good, excellent entertainment (if you could could hear what was being spoken) in the form of singers and speakers. This should be a five star score, but is marked down by the fact that six people behind our table (we...
