This hotel has the potential to be stunning. Decor very dated, sorry to say but reminded us of a nursing home. Food is nothing special and pricey for what you get. Nearly £15 for a very average burger and chips. Staff very nice and fairly attentive. We didn't stay for drinks due to the general atmosphere. Outdoor space is lovely.

Thank you for taking the time to post a review of your visit and for the positive comments about our staff. The Hotel is in its 83rd year of trading and was in the same family ownership since 1933 until my family purchased the Hotel in August last year. We are working through a programme of refurbishment whilst being sensitive...

Very pleasant stay with good local food, freshly cooked and very tasty. This hotel is very friendly with young local employees. Glad to see they are employing local young people. Would certainly stay here again.

Spend a night here using an Itison voucher. We were shown to our room which had the immediate wow factor as we had a spectacular view of the sun setting over Arran. We were on a Db&b package which in some hotels limits your menu choices. No here. We had a comprehensive menu. I chose the haddock strips which were...

Took a Dinner B&B the hotel a warm welcome at the reception . Bedroom unfortunately on the top floor so we were having replacement gym therapy . Nice room but facing the back I would spend the extra £10.00 and get a sea view . The bed was very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep . Good restaurant...

Just back from a couple of nights at the Parkstone. It was a lovely break - extremely friendly, happy staff. Welcoming and comfortable even if the decor is slightly conservative - that was really outweighed by the quality of the food and the staff. The restaurant offered a wide selection of food, all freshly prepared to a very high standard....

Wee table for three, very attentive staff. Had the haddock strips with chips and green leaf salad which was absolutely lovely. First time in 34 years I've had fish. Good value for money and a fair few in the restaurant even at 6pm. Menu is not huge but the quality is mighty.
