We went for a steak and were not disappointed. Only issue was the table wasnt big enough for 2 steaks to fit on it - not that the table was small. Really enjoyable meal in the Chop & Ale House which is intimate but with a buzz. Would have sworn the chips came from the local chippie - which I...

Could not fault the room it even had complimentary miniatures of whisky and Bombay Sapphire gin and tonic. The beds are so comfortable you need to set an alarm so as to not miss the best cooked breakfast ever. Best to book dinner early to give it justice, the portion size is not scrimped on and tastes terrific. We could...

I've just spent nearly a week at the Champany Inn, and it was a great experience from start to finish. I'm not sure where the uncommunicative staff a previous reviewer mentioned were, because I found the entire team to be helpful and caring. They did so many little things to make my stay special. My lovely room was spotless every...

The room we were allocated was reasonably comfortable though the zip locked beds would have benefitted greatly from a mattress topper. Furnished in keeping with the age of the hotel, including a not inconsiderable layer of dust on bed side tables and television base ( which remained untouched throughout our stay ). Rather disconcerting too was finding "evidence" of the...

yWe only spent one night at this hotel and despite a cold welcome from the man at the reception desk, we had a nice stay there. The room is traditionally decorated and there all the accessories you need in the room. The breakfast was OK but limited in terms of choice when you opt for the non Scottish menu. Overall,...

I stayed here on a whim and boy I was glad I did compared to the other faulty towers I stayed in as I traveled Scotland. The room is quaint old fashioned Scottish nice power shower. Complementary Bombay and tonic nice.. Bed fantastic and curtains shut out the early Scottish dawn. The wifi was slow but we were in deep...

I've stayed here several times on my way back from the Highlands on holiday, but recently visited with three colleagues for a business dinner, with each of us staying at the hotel. The rooms are as comfortable as ever and very good value, with dinner in the adjoining main restaurant an experience to say the least, and as delicious as...

This hotel manages to combine comfort with a touch of class and elegance. The rooms are spacious with champagne waiting on arrival, very nice! The breakfast is set in a gorgeous room and quite simply the best cooked breakfast I reckon I have tasted. The oranges are being freshly squeezed in a blender and straight into your glass. So tasty!...

Been many times to chop and ale house, it's a lovely wee place no frills good food, my only 2 issues are the horrible big tomato wedges in the salad and the chips in a old scabby brown bowl, 2nd time staying over and it was as always lovely a very Scottish room and excellent breakfast my only little quibble...

You have to look carefully to find this restaurant but when you do it is excellent! While the decor is rather quaint but interesting. The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly! The menu is comprehensive enough to cater for most tastes. The food arrived quickly and was very well cooked and attractively presented. All in all a...
