The Old Ground Holel was a wonderful choice in Ennis. The location is ideal being in town and an easy walk to everything: the Friary, Clare Museum, cathedral, St. COlumbia church and O'Connell St. ( The main street). An old hotel, the rooms are comfortable, not fancy. The public areas are warm and inviting. The restaurants are excellent. The staff...

The food was top class, try the black pudding and egg starter it is unreal. The rooms...

My husband booked the hotel as he had stayed here before but the guide book had said that the rooms were varied and not all were nice. We checked in later at 6:30 pm and were surprised to have a lovely room. The hotel is nicely situated across from a church and has a lovely outdoor area in the front...

Just lovely. My wife and I stayed at this hotel, and five others during our backroads tour of Ireland. This gem in the town if Ennis has all the charm of old Ireland with all the modern conveniences. The staff is a tightly knit family. We know because the man who hustled our bags was also working in the dining...

This is such a lovely hotel in a perfect and sweet County Clare town. I cannot say enough about the rooms, reception desk staff, and breakfasts. The pub and restaurant are wonderful too. We're only here two nights and we wish we had more.
