This place was funky and cool. Nice sitting area and library for decompressing in the evening. Our room was large and nice large bathroom. Two welcoming dogs when you drive in that were super cute. This was an old stone home, not sure of the age, but I think dating from 1650. It is in a beautiful wooded setting. Enjoyed...

We wanted to stay in a castle while in Ireland discovering ancestral roots. We were not disappointed. In the quiet charm of Newpark House we relaxed and more. Declan and Bernie provided to our needs with warmth and grace. And Declan had begun researching our ancestors even before our arrival (!) aware of several places we should explore during our...

This house is an oasis of calm. Set on acres of land with great walks. It was dry when I visited so it was great to stroll around the gardens/fields and see the cowslips and bluebells. My room was large and the bed was so comfy. Breakfast at the communal table was very sociable, with a tasty 'full Irish' spread....

This historic house and its longtime residents welcomes you warmly, with a true desire to please. Declan is a gracious host who gets eggs from his chickens and cooks them perfectly. Although you are within walking distance of a busy road (and a shopping center with a good pub and a grocery), it is peaceful and quiet at the house,...

What a great looking place this is! Our host, Declan, couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful. I liked that the bedrooms were so different, gave them such character. They were spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfy. But the highlight was the breakfast. Declan will accommodate any taste with a smile and the breakfast room - could have...

We spent 6 nights at Newpark House and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our hosts, Declan and Bernie, were welcoming and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The breakfasts at the big table were delicious and we enjoyed chatting with the other guests - we met some very nice people there. Declan has a large library of genealogical-related books and materials...

This was one of the highlights of our recent trip to Ireland! The friendliness of Bernie and Declan, to the great rooms and roaring fire at night, certainly made this a memory not to be forgotten! The delicious breakfast every morning on fine china and silver cooked by Declan and the organge marmalade handmade by Bernie made sure we had...

This was one of the loveliest, most comfortable places we've ever stayed. The house itself is fascinating and filled with history--and the owners always seem to be happy to share their story. The accommodations were top-notch: We had a charming, comfortable room--with a balcony!--and a clean, modern, private bathroom. Breakfast was delicious, cooked by Declan and served by his friendly...
