The B&B is ideally situated on South Douglas road, just a 10 minute walk from all the shopping centres in Douglas, and a bus stop is easy to catch just outside the B&B. The interior of the B&B is very welcoming, beautiful and elegant and spotlessly clean. My mum was delighted with the room and the breakfast. When she was...

I stayed at Briarville last month while visiting a friend in Cork and decided to stay again this month with my family who were over from England. Eleanor is an excellent host and provides guests with a quality and traditional Irish welcome and is full of life and character! The rooms are clean and well provided and there is free...

The first day we were dissuaded from having breakfast until 0830(wanted it at 0730).The second day we had to have it early as we had a flight to catch. We went to the dining room.No breakfast no cooking smells. The owner had not...

My wife and I stayed at Briaville B&B for a week while visiting Ireland from America. For the life of me, I can't understand why one of the reviewers was so disgruntled. We found the B&B very delightful and Eleanor couldn't have been more accomadating. In fact, she went way beyound that required from a B&B hostess. We do not...

In my travels I have stayed in hotels throughout the world, so I have an expectation about where I stay and what it should be like. Recently I stay at the Briaville B&B when I am in the Cork area...over the past month I have been staying there from Monday to Friday most weeks. The landlady Eleanor is a very...

I wish travellers paid more attention to BAD ratings thrown in between GOOD ones. I made this same mistake a few weeks ago when I booked 9 nights in Briarville B&B, even though I had read some bad reviews on this accommodation and its owner. This trip to Cork was purely leisure; I was meeting up with relatives. I'm not...
