The receptionist was pleasant but not welcoming, the room was small though adequate for the time we were there. Shower was nice, bed comfortable enough. Breakfast was not great at all. The dining room appeared under staffed with many of the tables piled with dirty dishes/cutlery and while we were there, one person collected cups from the tables but no...

Booked a double, for a suite! The room was fab, separate dressing room and lounge, four poster bed, mood lighting. I would have marked 5 out of food however it did have some downsides. Air conditioning was working and pumped out heat through I was given a fan. Breakfast was poor, choice was ok but quality low and had to...

My Husband recently held his Retirement Party in the Rochestown Park Hotel. From the beginning of the planning process we had a very positive experience. The Conference & Banqueting Coordinator, Deirdre, could not have been more accommodating and the night went smoothly from the very beginning. The Venue was perfect, Drinks in the Atrium, an absolutely great meal in the...

We stayed here after a family trip to Fota Wildlife park. Room was lovely with comfy beds, nice and spacious with mood lighting. Breakfast was the usual Full Irish, we didn't have dinner at the hotel so cannot comment on it. Finished off our stay with a morning swim in the leisure centre which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all...

Gorgeous hotel. Set well back from the road with large gardens, with lots of private areas. Ask for a room at the back of the new annex - although every room is lovely I believe. Meals are great; Suttons bar and restaurant with very large outdoor area attached, serves great food, reasonably priced too. The nicest swimming pool we've ever...

Recently had a family communion in the hotel. When we arrived we were greeted by the very welcoming Sean Twomey. Food was amazing and our waiter Alex was so friendly and helpful. We had a slight issue with our table but that was resolved quickly.

Attended a wedding here in May and cannot speak highly enough of the staff, who were extremely helpful in ensuring that everyone had a lovely day. I've been to dozens of functions in the RPH, but this wedding really stood out as one of the better ones for me.

As you drive in, the hotel is welcoming and impressive. The lobby area is quite aesthetically appeasing and very comfortable for lounging and reading the paper. There are different papers available at reception each day which is a nice touch. The check-in was ok. Quite short but the necessary was done and we figured out the rest. The room was...

Book direct with Hotel web site. Still cheaper than other sites. Prices vary depending on time of year, week or local events. Great free parking. Big rooms. No noise. €10 approx by Taxi to Cork City Centre. Safe area. 5 mins walk to Douglas village with lots of good Restaurants and Pubs. Hotel has a pool I believe and other...

The layout is maze-like and was a bit annoying trying to navigate to check in. Front desk staff wasn't particularly forthcoming with details (much less so compared to other hotels we had stayed at in Ireland). Hallways were quite noisy (several children running about, there were weddings and other gatherings going on during our one night stay). Our room had...
