Was going to the theatre in Cork and stayed here. Front of hotel wouldn't have looked out of place in India. Has a colonial look to it. Found out it was a British military hospital at one time. Plenty of parking. Lovely welcome from the receptionist. Room was huge and what a view of Cork. Had dinner in hotel. Was...

2* at best and False advertising-'' what better hotel to stay than at the elegant newly refurbished Ambassador''-This is taken from Ambassador website. Newly refurbished -only the dining and lobby area have been and website does not inform customers of same. Personally, I would not call such wallpaper elegant and I dont think it is in keeping with the building...

Having read that the Ambassador hotel had undergone a recent renovation, I had high hopes for this 4* hotel. While the reception area and McGettigans bar have been renovated to a high standard, I was throughly disappointed in the bedrooms. The bedrooms have had fresh wallpaper and paint applied but the furniture harks back to the late 80's / early...

We had our wedding in the ambassador hotel on Dec27th 2016. To say we had a wonderful day is an understatement, from start to finish Gillian and the team in the Ambassador Hotel couldn't of done more. From the moment we enquired about having our wedding here we were dealt with in a professional and friendly manner. Any special requests...

I've stayed here many times - mainly because it's reasonably priced and I can park my car and walk everywhere I want to go in Cork. This is an important factor in a city where traffic and parking are twin nightmares. It's a venerable old building that's been modernised and if you get a room in the front of the...

We love to stay at The Ambassador when we are in Cork. The beauty of the architecture, interior design of most rooms, and the warmth of the staff -particularly Stephanie and April who both went out of their way for us- are so lovely to be surrounded by in this wild world. The views of Cork from the balconies are...

Beautiful building over looking the city of Cork with attentive well trained and professional staff. Large bright bedroom with a lovely balcony and an excellent selection of fresh foods from the late night restaurant. Excellent modern decor compliments this historic building sympathetically renovated to four star comforts. Well done to all from the warm welcome at reception to the attentive...
