I stayed at Acton Lodge for two days and paid e50 each night, for a single room with ensuite bathroom. I’ve now stayed in three Cork b&b along the Western Road, at the same time of year (March) and for around the same price. The best was Garnish House – a welcome tea and a ‘gourmet breakfast’ which really was....

Acton Lodge was ideal for our short weekend stay in Cork. The rooms were clean and spacious considering we stayed as 4 in one room there was plenty of space and the bathroom was lovely. Staff was friendly and the breakfast was lovely, they couldn't give us enough!! Very satisfying and fantastic value for money I would recommend here as...

Very helpful lady, una, guided us when we rang for directions. Private parking, beautiful and spotless house. We stayed in a house out in the back, like a big holiday home, beautiful fresh room, massive bed, good storage and big plasma screen, free WiFi and a big wet room and powerful shower. Bus stop right outside the front, mins into...

All our four rooms were in the lodge, very comfortable and clean. Extra shelves in the bathroom much appreciated. Beds comfortable. Even though heating was just mentioned upon arriving, they switched it on in the morning just for us. Even though we arrived quite late for check-in by the time Dominic had helped all of us to bring the suitcases...

Nice room and tasty Irish breakfast. The B&B is close to the University (the purpose of my visit), but also within walking distance of the city centre. The owners were very friendly and really helped me out a lot during my stay here! Lovely people!

Coming earlier was no problem, leaving after the check out was also easy. The owners were nearly all the time present and they were very helpful. The room was spacious and breakfast tasty.it is 20 min walk from the city centre and the bus stop is in front of the b&b door. Nice neighbourhood of university.

We arrived by taxi and were warmly greeted by Dominic who showed us to our room which was in a separate building at the rear of the hotel overlooking the university grounds. The room was on the first floor and was very spacious with a large bathroom with lots of hot water. Downstairs was a large open kitchen where we could...

Ahhhh - the last night of our 4000 km roadtrip from Dublin, up the north and down and around the Wild Atlantic Way. We didn't make it to Cork till 4 pm and we received a warm welcome from Dominic at the Acton Lodge. We stayed in the building to the rear of the B&B and it was perfect for...
