Nice hotel upon arrival, gorgeous decor. However when got to room it was very cold and when I rang reception I was informed that the heating comes on after 5. I really don't think that's good enough when it's cold. Our room service food was so bad we had to send it back, and in fairness We were not charged... More

Dear deekk, Thank you for your recent review on TripAdvisor. I can only apologize about the issues you had throughout your stay. I have passed on your comment about the heating to our Maintenance Manage who is currently looking into this. With regard to our breakfast indeed the buffet is €15 per person but we also have an A La... More

After a long 3 1/2 hour drive down from Dublin, arriving at the Montenotte put a smile on my face. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is stylish quirky and welcoming. Check in was smooth and friendly. The room was good. The bar merged into the restaurant and the barman was excellent (drink Beamish, not Guiness as its brewed... More

We stayed here for a long weekend from Saturday. Staff very friendly. We were a bit early arriving and planned to park and walk into centre to wander. However our room was ready which was great. Funky decor in hotel and we'll maintained. Panoramic view from dining area and bar. Pity about view outside our bedroom window concrete flat roofs... More

I stayed at the Montenotte in September of this year and had a pretty bad experience due to two weddings taking place over the weekend. Both wedding parties made excessive noise and were abusive to other guests as late as 4am and 5am. I had contacted the reception but they were unable to monitor every floor housing wedding guests. When... More

Following my recent stay, the first since the refurb, I am seriously impressed with the Montenotte Hotel. It is stylish but calm, elegant but friendly, contemporary and with a real Cork feel to it and not to mention one of the best views in the city. I highly recommend the Montenotte whatever our reason for travel. This is a game... More

Parking is difficult early to late evening with a small tight lot that seems to be shared with an apartment/club in the rear. Drop your bags prior to finding a spot since the hotel is built on the side of a hill and also difficult to maneuver around. The hotel is built like a set of steps so depending on... More

We called in to catch some Live Jazz during the Jazz festival and had a great couple of hours in a very relaxed atmosphere. The place was jumping with loads on all day. But hey what do you expect from the Montenotte Hotel which is a cornerstone of the music scene in Cork city.
