Just returned from a few nights in Dublin and we stayed at Oaklodge. Although the location is a little way out of the city centre the area is very quiet. Theresa, the owner, produces a really good quality breakfast and us always on hand with extra tea or toast. The room we had was a little dated but it was...

I would definitely go back there when I'll return in Ireland. The couple who are hosting the bed and breakfast are very devoted. The breakfast is amazing, the rooms and bathrooms are very clean. We had the chance to enjoy also a little bit the living room, which's really great for a talk with a tea. You'll sleep tight in...

We appreciate your taking the time to write a review on Oaklodge and are delighted you enjoyed your stay with us. We (family with three children) stayed in the family room (en suite) for eight nights. Everything was very clean and all of us felt immediately at home. The house and the rooms are beautifully decorated and really impressing. The location is also great as it is quiet and within walking distance to the city center as well as to cafes...

Staying at Oaklodge was one of the reasons we had a wonderful time in Dublin. Teresa was very accomodating, helpful and welcoming. We scheduled two very early day trips to western Ireland and required us to leave at 6 am on both days. Teresa packed us a breakfast to take with us so we can eat in the coach bus....

We highly recommend Oaklodge for its comfort, access to transit, service, and breakfast. Teresa was an excellent hostess and is a true professional. We had an early check-out and she provided a hearty take-away breakfast. Breakfast in the dining room was delicious too!

I am very pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that you liked my brown soda bread. I have changed the recipe over the years but think I will be sticking with this one as it appears to be the best. I have sourced an ingredient that gives the bread a lovely crunchy consistency. Teresa was the most caring and considerate hostess we could have been with. She shared her knowledge of Ireland, and even lent us her GPS, without it we never could have travelled the roads and seen the west coast of Ireland.
