We booked this hotel on Booking.com as hotels were quite scarce on Saturday and paid £115 for 1 night without breakfast . As we were paying a fairly expensive price we thought we would get a decent hotel - how wrong could we be !! This is not a hotel , it is a decrepit , run-down hovel . We...

Driving home from this place feeling ill. Absolutely discusting food. Place is shockingly dirty. Girl serving food wearing a white chefs coat that's absolutely manky!. Just go to botanic gardens for real food. This place should be closed down.

Went for lunch with family on Mothers day. Total mess, carvery options almost non existent and not replenished, staff did not know how to carve meat, food (that should have been hot) was cold and tasted strange. Almost all food went uneaten. Place was dirty and badly kept. You have to pay to use the car park, people who arrived...

Myself amd a friend from the US booked in last minute after having a double booking cancellation from another hotel. The first thing that worried us was that no one could check in after 9PM. The second, when we arrived their was no one else in the parking lot and the premises looked like it was closed down. The third,...

It was years since I had visited the Addison Lodge and I was surprised to see that the decor had not changed for several years and it was in need of a good paint job. However, attending the afters of a funeral, the venue is spacious and comfortable enough for a large crowd. The food was very tasty - a...

About 60 people descended on the Lodge for lunch following a funeral. FRAN the chef serving us, was patient, friendly and professional. Great choice of food which for a carvery was still hot! The Corned Beef and cabbage was lovely, as were the chicken, turkey and ham pie and the beef. I would have given a '5', except the ladies...

This place could be capable of so much more. If only I had a magic wand to spruce it up! The staff are incredibly nice and so on the ball. My father's carvery food was nice with the exception of the beef which was really stringy. My husband and I ordered sandwiches and chips and were presented with such unimaginative...

Went there with family for dinner, it could do with some decorating as it is old and dirty looking, but the food was good and the staff was very friendly, a nice place to go for dinner after a visit to the botanic gardens.

Fawlty Towers comes to mind.. Got food which was just about edible.. We ate outside in the "beer garden" as the inside of the bar was filthy & in dire need of some tlc. The staff are rude & unhelpful.. Stood at the bar for 5 minutes waiting to order a drink while they walked past & ignored me. When...
