I was a little sceptical on reading the reviews however only paying €40 per room with breakfast you can't expect the world. Our room was basic but clean and at the end of the day, we went to Dublin to see the sites not stay in our room! The hotel is only a 5 min walk to O'Connell st. The staff...

GUYS- this is a guesthouse, not a 5 star hotel. We found this place to be completely adequate for many reasons: price! Newsflash: Europe is expensive! This place is super reasonable! And yes the building is old and a little run down, BUT everything in the room was CLEAN which is what counts the most. Fluffy towels, comfy beds. The...

When walking the streets in Dublin, especially where there is construction, watch that people don't get in between you and your party. We were surrounded by a group of 4-5 young people, non-Irish, who followed us into the lobby of the Charles Stewart Guesthouse and took a wallet out of our backpack. By slowing down the first person in front...

One of the reasons I chose this guest house was because it said a traditional Irish breakfast, as it was my first time to Ireland & it was a surprise for my husbands 60th b'day, well it was an ordinary bog standard breakfast which wasn't anything special, as for the room there was a loose electric wire hanging by the...

I've stayed here several times over recent year, and always found it to be clean and comfortable, with friendly staff. Certainly older style rooms, but not unexpected in this older area and building. Rooms can vary from adequate to a little cramped and air/lightless. Has TV room/lounge which is useful. Its a big guesthouse, so plenty of rooms. Whilst there...

Friendly staff, great location and a nice breakfast are still not enough to redeem this basic and shabby guest-house. I booked 2 nights here and can confirm that 'spacious' = claustraphobic and 'charming' = grotty. The walls are paper thin, so you can hear your fellow guests talking, toileting and snoring. The en-suite is so small you could almost wash...

My sister and I stayed here for our three day break in Dublin and I feel that, if it wasn't for the lovely staff, we would not consider staying again. Our room was missing some floor under the carpet, so that was an uncomfortable surprise. The bathroom is claustrophobic and when getting out the shower be mindful not to hit...

Simple and comfortable. This B&B is located in the city centre, close to museums, shops, restaurants and Trinity College. The staff is attentive and the room cleaning service is good. The only letdowns would be the lack of a hair dryer and a lift, and the brightness of the room in the morning.

We had a triple room for the marathon, they did not put the prices up and for £47 for 2 nights we can not complain, clean, friendly, great location, good choice for what we needed. Breakfast was very nice. Would recommend if your on a budget.

We stayed for 1 night in The Charles Stewart Guesthouse and we would come back again. We arrived in Dublin way before check in, but the Hotel let us leave our luggage at the hotel which was very apprenticed! The room was nice and big and clean. We where at the back of the hotel and it was nice and...
