I wanted to stay in Temple Bar for part of St Patricks day week and prices for this popular location combined with St Patricks day week meant I could only afford a dorm room but got to say that hostel was great. 4 bed dorm which unfortunately was mixed, would have preferred a female only option but bed comfortable, ensuite...

With 10 friends from age 42 till 62 in Dublin for a 3 days stay was a remarkable experience. The hostel was top, the personnel friendly and the location couldn't be better. We visited Gaelic Football in Croke Park, Dublin Castle, Guinness Storehouse and the Whiskey museum. For sure we spent quite some time in Temple Bar, best city trip...

Barnacles is fabulous backpackers hostel located in the centre of Dublin's fair city. The staff are extremely accommodating, friendly and informed. There is a great atmosphere in the hostel and it is very clean and comfortable. It is perfect for both groups and solo travellers. Would definitely recommend.

We got a 4 bed room, even though we payed for a 6 bed room, which was really nice. It was clean, the stuff was always friendly and helped a lot, the breakfast was fine for the price and the location is awesome. The bed's were really comfortable and it was nice to have a private bathroom for our room!...

My husband and I stayed at Barnacles hostel on our recent trip to Ireland. We loved the location right in the Temple Bar area, and the value for your money was great. The staff at the desk was wonderful and helped us book a day trip, as well as offered excellent recommendations for restaurants. We stayed in a private room...

We stayed for only two nights but we loved our time at Barnacles. The staff at the reception was very kind and helpful, and the free breakfast, although basic, was more than enough (thanks for the yummy pancakes!). Also, it is quite cheap considering the location, just a few meters from The Temple Bar. Would definetely recommend it to anyone.

have been staying at this hostel for over a month and find the staff helpful and friendly. The breakfast is FREE and above basic which makes me confused to why other people have moaned about it. Prices per night can vary but this hostel is situated in the center of a tourism district and so prices can change depending on...

Good location right in the middle of Temple Bar. Cheap considering location. Friendly/ helpful staff. To be picky the beds could be comfier but that could be said about 99% of hostels. Overall good experience 9/10 and would definitely recommend.

We stayed total 5 nights at Barnacles. Staff was very helpful and it was great we were able to leave our big luggage to the hostel during our stay in Galway. Rooms were small but with this location you bear with them. Some noise but not too bad for us used to live in the center of the city with...
