Room too small, no ventilation, too many people in the space. Tiny kitchen for huge population with a very basic breakfast. No elevator. Staff seemed to have no clue. No linen or pillows on arrival. Only decent thing was the location

It's got a great location to enjoy the scene of Temple bar which is filled with music. The prices are good for this área. It's also a chile hostel because it's pretty small so you'l probably run into the same people and get to know eachother. The atmosphere is chile with a nice common room. The bad part is that...

Thank you for your review and we are happy to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. To comply with Health and Safety Regulations the light switch does have to be outside the bathroom door. Sorry if this disturbed you. We hope to welcome you back to Barnacles Temple Bar again soon. Best Regards Mary

The stay was perfect, the staff friendly and warm, the rooms chilled out and cool, and in the heart of Dublin's fair city. I defy any man to find a better accommodation at such low prices. Barnacles rules.

Where to begin? The dorm room faced the street was extremely loud all night, but we couldn't close the window because it was uncomfortably warm. Even with the win dow open to the cool night air, it was in inexplicably hot and difficult to sleep. The staff said they would bring a fan but never did. The wi-fi doesn't work...

Overall it's a very good place to stay in Ireland. I stayed for 3 nights in a twin room. The room was neat and clean every day. The breakfast was also good, you have to make it but it has everything. So why am I giving it a 3? because we had people sitting on the stairs two of the...

Thanks for your review. I am really sorry that you had to give us a 3. We do ask all guests to keep the noise down at night time , unfortunately not everyone listens. But you make a good point, our night porters should have asked them to go to their rooms on the second night. We can only apologise...

Overall a very nice hostel with an exceptional location. It is located in Temple Bar literally right next door to the "Temple Bar." Check-in was fairly effortless from the staff who are pretty friendly and down to earth. The hostel isn't perhaps laid out in the best manner for socializing with other mates but it's Dublin so more than likely...

I loved staying here. The location was perfect, it had a large kitchen, and the staff was very sweet. The guy who checked me in even carried my bags up 3 flights of stairs for me because there was no elevator. And, when I lost my phone charger, the front desk lent me their personal charger to use during my...

Staff was friendly, hostile itself was quite small & could've been cleaner. Wasn't terrible for a quick long weekend trip to Ireland. I felt safe the entire time there which is important! I just wish there was more space in the rooms & the place was cleaner.

First time in a hostel, used for a group of lads on a weekend away, served a purpose as was very close to temple bar. Staff where really friendly and knowledgeable about the area and pointed out the less touristy areas.
