We have just come back from a 2 night stay in this hotel which was looks wise matches the pictures and our expectations however the hotel was overrun with children (May is apparently holy communion month) and therefore it wasn't the romantic break we wanted or booked for. They might want to consider opening the indigo bar for guests given...

Oh, my! We loved staying at Clontarf! The staff were so friendly and kind to us! We were able to check in early after arriving from our long transatlantic flight and take reviving showers before exploring Dublin. The hotel is located just outside the city in a quiet area but with a short walk we were able to catch a...

Have visited Dublin 7 or 8 times over the last 2-3 years. Most times staying at this hotel. It is such a dependable location, at very reasonable prices, with good food (breakfast, dinner and bar food, plus rooms service!). This is a truly great find and when I can't get in to it due to it being booked out, I...

Irish staff were - as always - very friendly. You managed to convince the visitor that you are able to keep the character of that Castle while not compromising on service and comfort of todays. The meeting location will always last in my memory. And one day I will return with my entire family :-)

I can't say enough wonderful things about the Clontarf Castle Hotel. Our flight arrived in Dublin early in the morning and we knew it would be several hours before we could check into our hotel.
