Staunton's on the Green is located directly across from St. Stephen's Green, a large, local-frequented park in central Dublin. It is a combo of three Georgian houses built in 1750. The poet Gerard Manley Hopkins lived in the house from 1884 until his death in 1889. Lots of hallways, stairways, twists and turns, making it an interesting place. Many types...

Right across the street from the park. Very centrally located to Trinity college, any museums, restaurants and shopping. Pleasant clean room, accomodating staff. Good overall feeling there. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Room was quiet and kept clean. Comfy beds and nice decor.

Friendly staff, great location, thin walls, squeaky floors, loud doors, moldy smell... Stayed here 2 separate nights during our Ireland tour. Rooms are stuffy and dusty. Able to hear everything on our floor and the floor above.

Love the location, central to everything you want to visit and see in Dublin. Breakfast was outstanding, staff very helpful. We had a snafu with our first reservation which the management sorted out satisfactorily. Rooms were clean and well kept. Parking validation was a plus for garage around the corner. Would stay there again for sure - cannot beat the...

After a great week horseback riding and touring in counties Clare and Galway, I returned to Dublin for one night prior to my departure back to the US. The pros: great location on the south side of St Stephen's Green. Just about a block from the nearest Aircoach stop. The lobby is spacious, seemed clean, and was appropriately decorated for...

The overpowering smell of damp in the corridor was only slightly less sickening once inside the room, the fire alarm went off first thing in the morning, and then we had to wait for the plumbing to be fixed before we could get hot water for the shower. The hotel was tatty throughout, with frayed carpets, battered furniture, and didn't...

Staughton’s on the Green is a stately mansion, appropriate for an earlier era. Carefully preserved, the Georgian-style hotel may lack some modern day touches but this is overridden by its central location in the heart of Dublin. Bordering St Stephen’s Green Park, the hotel is an excellent base to explore the city. Grafton Street shopping at St. Stephen’s Green shopping...
