As per my 2 previous visits its been an enjoyable stay. Here to celebrate our honeymoon and the hotel laid on few little gestures that were much appreciated. Nice breakfast every morning and lovely friendly staff. Would recommend to friends and family

I booked this hotel from October 10th to the 17th of 2016 as part of my first solo vacation to the UK. The first thing I will say is the hotel is both hard to locate and then easy to find once you have been there. There was so much construction around the city center of Dublin when I went,...

Dear Amtj2008 Thank you for your kind review. I am very pleased to read that you enjoyed your recent stay, there has been a lot of road works in the city centre in recent years whilst the new Tram line was being constructed, thankfully the new line is due to open in 2017 so Dublin as a small city will...

My sister and I recently stayed at the Castle Hotel in Dublin for four nights. We loved it! Granted, it cost more than other hotels we stayed at, but we felt more at home at the Castle. The staff was excellent, the Irish breakfasts were fabulous and it was close to everything. I highly recommend the Castle Hotel.

I was visiting Dublin solo so it was important to find a reasonably priced single room which was close enough to central Dublin to walk to. The room was tiny, but very clean and the maid came in to clean and tidy it daily, although she didn't need to. The hotel itself is charming. It's the oldest in Dublin but...

Dear Teresa742 Thank you for your kind review. The Castle Hotel is an ideal location for a solo female traveller as although we are quite a large hotel it is run like a family establishment with friendly staff many including myself have worked here for many years. We have many solo regular visitors who return to us for their holidays...

About 10-15 minute walk to the centre. Hotel was clean and tidy, room was on the back so quiet (apart from fellow guests occasionally slamming doors)....Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty on offer from the buffet style breakfast, but you do need to keep your bacon warmer - it's cool !!....Great place from which to visit the city.

Dear Stewart R Thank you for your kind review, I just wanted to add a little information about the location of the hotel to my response just to clarify the location of the hotel. The Castle Hotel is in the City Centre of Dublin just 2 minutes walk from O'Connell Street which is Dublin's principal thoroughfare, adjacent to the hotel...

The room was a nasty little box about half the size of the standard room but they still charge the full rate for it and when I complained the staff just said nothing and avoided eye contact. No offer of another room or a cheaper price. STAY OUT OF ROOM 106! Also the TV only had a few channels on...

Dear Tripperian Thank you for your valuable feedback, I am sorry if you found your room to be small, I can assure you that it does meet the minimum size requirements for a 3 star hotel. Unfortunately we do not have any of the Sky sports channels on our bedroom TVs but we do have it in the Bar area...

Woken by reception staff with a phone call at 02:00 to tell me the fire alarm in my room was going off when it wasn't. Next, the television came on by itself at 03:00 (having never used it since arriving 36 hours before this is just illogical). Very little in the way of apology from the receptionist. Noise insulation between...

Dear Brightonsinger Thank you for your review, I am very sorry that you had such a disturbed night's stay with us, I do not know why the Fire Alarm was activated but each time it is, the alarm panel at reception indicates which room has triggered the alarm and of course this has to be investigated. I have never heard...

My Daughter and I just arrived home from a week-long visit to Dublin and The Castle Hotel. This hotel was a great stay.
