I checked in after a long flight from the US. Staff was very friendly. Hotel not at all as it looks on website. Bed for a single is very lumpy. Only one bottom sheet. The coverlet has to be used as a topsheet. This means that every person who has slept in the bed has used the coverlet. Disgusting. The...

Dear guest, Thank you for your review and we are delighted that you enjoyed our staff service. I would like to respond to your negative comments as follows: - The pictures of the hotel do reflect the reality but maybe you had looked when booking at the Double Rooms / Deluxe Rooms pictures and you expected a larger room. -...

We stayed here 3 nights in a family room with 2 queen beds. The room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel is Georgian and is charmingly decorated in that style, not meant to look modern. Breakfast was nice and the location is wonderful. Easy walk to Trinity college, Saint Stevens Green, National Museum, Grafton Street, Temple Bar,...

This is a budget hotel, and the rooms' decor reflects that. However, the rooms are large, the hotel is in a very convenient location, and the service from reception is superior. There is no elevator, but the front desk employees were happy to carry luggage up and down for me (4 times total, as I had (2) 2 night stays...

Dear curioustraveler65, Thank you for taking a few moments of your time to review your stay with us. We are glad that you enjoyed all our services and thank you for reviewing them in such detail. Just one thing I would like to say, we do not advertise that we are a hotel, we are a boutique guesthouse and the...

Stayed here as my usual hotel was full up. Tip: book early when there's major conferences, events, etc on in Dublin as the quality hotels go quickly and prices rocket! Buildings are scatterd across the road so don't expect to stay where you checked in. Although I gather there is a new wing which I have heard is modern, I...

Dear guest, Thank you for your review. Based on your comments I could only say that you probably would prefer a purpose built hotel instead of a period building with character (in Ireland or abroad). Our room prices reflect the character of the building, the location, the service and quality of breakfast. We are not anywhere near a backpacker base....

Great location, close to everything. Museums around the corner, Grafton St and Temple Bar a few blocks away. They treated us fantastically. Extra towels when asked, ice, comfy beds, very clean and most of all a wonderful to order breakfast and great, friendly service. We stayed five nights sharing a triple room and one bathroom and it was lovely!

Despite a room change, we couldn't get a good nights' sleep. We probably got the room mentioned by a recent reviewer with a view of roof-top equipment; the loud noise on the wall where the headboard was probably came from the shower in the room next door (I don't know if this is common in Ireland to have a shower...

Dear bostonbased, Thank you for your review. Most of our reviewers appreciate the quietness during the night despite our very central location. Unfortunately we can not do anything about the construction works nearby during the day. However they stop at 7pm and they work based on their planning permission given by the Dublin City Council. Yes, noise can be heard...

For the 200 e plus price tag I could not believe the room- like a 1950s boarding house- lumpy mattress - single cot bed with ancient linen - hand held shower . Unfriendly and unwelcoming receptionist- only for the central location and the excellent breakfast I would be screaming for my money back!

Dear guest, Thank you for your review even though I do not believe that gives any justice to the property. The only thing I could say that probably the type of boutique accommodation that we are is not to your liking. Yours Sincerely, Roxana Cernat Manager Trinity Lodge

We stayed for a night in this gorgeous place which is within walkin distance to Dublin city centre. The room is huge. The breakfast is lovely except for the small breakfast area . Dear Gummy J, Thank you for you lovely review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and in particular the style of the property. Regarding your comment about breakfast, we have capacity for 35 people seating in the breakfast area and in general is more than sufficient for 26 rooms. However sometimes it can happen to be...

A family-run place, this hotel is split between 3 beautiful Georgian buildings so close you can touch the railings of Trinity College. Despite being a stone's throw from Nassau street, the place was really quiet at night time (until some yahoo who lost his key insisted on buzzing the front door repeatedly). Breakfast was freshly prepared and very generous -...

Got off to a shaky start when given a dingy ground floor room at the back with intermittent electrical noise right outside. Moved to an excellent upstairs front room with no noise from the quiet street. Everything great thereafter. Responsive staff, excellent breakfasts, location can't be beat.
