I chose the hostel based on other positive reviews and was so disappointed and I wonder how did it score so high. The hostel has a great location but it needs refreshing. I did request for the bottom bed and was given one. My room had an issue with the heating and in the morning it turned out - the...

This was the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in, perfect location, comfy beds, all for a great price. There's a games room and a lounge for you to hang out in and meet other people, and everyone in our room was lovely too. Staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommended!

We had a short but pleasant stay at MEC Hostel: rooms are clean, spacious and well isolated, so you won't hear people showering or in the corridor Common areas are also quiet and big, including the kitchen with all you need if you want to cook for yourself. Free use of computers and internet are availible Breakfast for 2euros is...

This hostel is walking distance from the Spire, on an adorable street of brick homes. Great location for touring the city or going out in the evening. The Sandemans Tour Guides do a pick up at the hostel before their morning tours, which is great if you don't know the way to the Spire. Lots of great information at the...

Adequate hostel for a couple of nights in Dublin. We stayed in a double room w/o bathroom which was ok. They could replace the mattresses and the sink. Simple and small renovations are needed which could transform the room into something "good". The facilities are good and the staff is friendly.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hostel itself needs a bit of work done to it but the facilitys are great, they have computers in the common room as well as food and drinks machines, they have a big kitchen you can use downstairs full of everything you need to cook anything. They also have a games room...

Sizeable rooms with clean bathrooms. There was a variety of games and computers, including free ping pong! The garden was cosy. The kitchen/diner was a good size and served a standard bread, eggs and cereal breakfast for 2 euro, good value! The building is an old town house style with large rooms and high ceilings, quite grand. The staff were...

We booked a private room and were very happy with everything. The room was huge with an open plan top floor with bed. The wifi worked well and we received a friendly welcome from the staff on reception. The room's décor was a little dated but that was part of the charm of staying in an old Georgian room! The...

Was with a group and unfortunately I got split up from the others, however it all worked out fine. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The hostel is in a great location, walking distance from many great restaurants and Trinity College and yet not on a main road so was quiet at night.
