When I originally booked the hotel, I was quoted 205.60 euro for a 3 night stay. I then realized the dates were incorrect that I booked online and changed the reservation through email. No problems there, rate quoted was 253.60 and seeing how it was my own fault for selecting the wrong days, that's fine. This was 5 months before...

The hotel itself was lovely and despite the first online impression of the stuffy looking interior it turned out to be quite stylish. The complimentary Wifi and parking are great, and the rooms are spacious and well stocked with bathrobes, tea making facility etc. A wide range of TV and radio stations is available. What I couldn't understand though was...

Good hotel with a breakfast fit for a King if you are sightseeing for the day. Limited range of facilities at the hotel especially later at night. It does not feature what I would call fine dining. Also it is not close to the centre so unless you like walking a friendship with the local cab companies is a must....

We booked overnight stay and show through the hotel with 2 course dinner included. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. We were upgraded to a suite as well as our friends who were also staying. Our suite was large with a balcony. It was very clean but the furniture and decor was dated and tired whereas the suite our friends...

My friend I stayed in Grand Canal Hotel on Friday night and went to Bord Gais theatre to see Rock of Ages. We arrived straight from work, booked in and went to the show. On arrival back about 10.20 we wanted to eat but no food served after 10pm. We were told that there was a room menu served from...

Unusually we were given a disabled access room; I just hope we weren't depriving someone who needed it. Secondly, there was a very palpable smell of stale cigarette smoke in the room which didn't really help our enjoyment of our stay. Thirdly the Gasworks Pub definitely needs an overhaul. It was like something which was thrown together to try to...

Very happy with our stay here. We booked a show through the hotel also. When we arrived all the docs were prepared and ready for us. The staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. There is fee parking. The bar food was very good - particularly the sandwich/ salad bar.

Nothing special but nice enough, clean, room did smell of stale smoke and had an ashtray in it - you'd think in this day and age all rooms would be non-smoking. Beds a little soft. Good wifi. Staff friendly. About a 10-15 minute walk from main shopping area in Dublin, 15 minute walk from the convention centre along the canal...
