We recently stayed at this hotel whilst in Dublin. Check in was quick and easy. It was easy to find a park in the car park. The room was big, wth a queen bed and a single bed. It was a clean execpt for the bottom of the bath. The beds were too hard for our liking, we woke up...

The night Reception Manager Luke was so friendly and helpful, a pleasure to meet! The day staff on check out were also very friendly. The room was beautiful , we were given a room with a balcony as we requested smoking. Overall we were very impressed with the efficiency and professional approach of all staff members.

The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and a good size too. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful with things like getting a light bulb changed while we went for dinner, and providing directions. Our only problem was over breakfast. We didn't pre-book it because the price on lastminute was much cheaper than the price on the hotel's...

Hello Thank you for taking the time to post your comments. I am sorry that your stay was marred by the breakfast billing. It is something that we are reviewing fully to understand why the information was not processed correctly. It is a process that normally runs quite smoothly. Many thanks again

This is a nice hotel in a nice location. 15-20 minute walk to Temple Bar. The hotel is clean and safe. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Made us feel welcome. The restaurant and bar is convenient with a nice menu. This is a no frills hotel; nothing fancy. We would stay here again.

Stayed 21st July 2014 for 3 nights, however only getting around to posting now. I frequently stay at the Burlington/Hilton & The Mespil Hotel further along the canal, The Grand Hotel would not be as highly regarded/rated as these hotels, however, I found everything about the hotel to be perfect and every bit as good as the others I mentioned,...

I was at a function in the hotel recently and ordered two cokes from the bar. I was given two 200ml bottles of coke and charged €5. I feel this is very poor value for the size considering a can is 330ml.

Rooms were lovely and food was good. Also, we had booked tickets to go to a concert in the Bord Gais Theatre and it's a shame we didn't know before booking that the hotel actually did weekend deals for theatre breaks. Anyhow, we were able to get their private coach (for just €2) which collected us at the hotel, took...

The Grand Canal Hotel is close enough to walk to the city centre and also close to the Aviva Stadium and the RDS. The rooms are comfortable and the staff are very helpful. The reservations team are particularly helpful and knowledgeable.
