Hats off to the Ferryman Hotel. I stayed there for 2 nights on the recommendation of a friend and I was charmed by the friendliness of the staff and the cozy ambience of the place. A pleasant restful sleep was followed by an excellent breakfast overlooking the River Liffey. What more does a visitor need! Will definitely return.

A bit expensive for light lunch. Small ciabatta, cooked ham w some salads for lunch, no garnish dressing, I didn't want chips. Perhaps it's a set price regardless of chips or not. May find an alternative in future. Plenty of options in Mayor Square.

I was by myself and given an upgrade to a double, which was lovely. The bed was warm, comfy and clean. The room spacious enough. The staff very friendly, especially the breakfast and restaurant staff. The shower was a bit too small (and I'm skinny), and the water temp changed too often but the water pressure was great. If you...

Very comfortable room, great location, friendly staff. The pub is welcoming and busy yet there is no disturbance in the room. The location is great - easy walk into the centre and on a bus route. It's lovely by the Liffey and plenty of great eateries in the newly renovated docklands. What is there not to love?

I stayed as a single traveller, in early December, for two nights. My stay was very good. Being on my own meant that I could have a couple of drinks in the evening then go up to my room, without having to walk back to a hotel. It is a friendly, inviting place to stay and the breakfast was tasty....

Beautiful view by river from hotel room, opposite iconic convention centre building. Price was very competitive with breakfast. Over a pub but with separate entrance. No noise. Breakfast served in nice ambient room. Staff excellent. Bar staff friendly. Ideally situated near point. Not many rooms so could be termed as boutique accommodation. Drink excellent and around same price as your...
